Introduction
I'm fascinated by the bright, shiny thing called the internet. 

I started my career as a copywriter at a production agency that serviced the Hyperama, Clinique, Estee Lauder and House & Home brands. 

Two years later I moved into the marketing space and co-founded a Natural Animal Medicine company called Eco-Vet. I managed the creation, development and implementation of the Eco-Vet brand, marketing and product sales strategy. 

In 2001 I left Eco-Vet to develop my marketing career and I joined L'Oreal South Africa as the Kerastase product manager. After 18 months I took on the role of Kerastase General Manager, and over the next 3 years I managed the strategic transformation of the Kérastase brand to a selective luxury brand in SA.

In 2006, I left L'Oreal and took a role as the director of a PR startup called Black Khaki Wired. Our clients included Clover SA, Big Blue, Kemtek, Clover Mama Afrika, mobiles2go and amAze GPS. 

In 2008 I opened my own digital PR and marketing consultancy called GetOn eMarketing. The online space was starting to become more visible, if you didn't have a company website url listed on your business card you were behind the times. (Interesting to note that most urls weren't supported by a website in those days.)

I was fascinated by the web, I spent hours reading about writing for search engines, optimising my website copy and listing urls with search engines (yes, that was a manual thing.) 

I started to engage with forums, bloggers and online journalists in a more creative and hyperlinked digital way. I worked with SAB, Nando's, Big Blue, SAMRO, adidas, All Africa Poker and Amorphous New Media.

Between 2008-2012 I created, implemented and managed the social media strategy for the SABC's national radio station 5FM.

I held the position of Creative Director at Cerebra in Johannesburg between 2012-2014. I've had the opportunity to work on social strategy and creative campaigns with brands like ABSA, Adidas, Big Blue, Black River FC, 5FM, MasterCard, Nando’s, Nedbank, Ogilvy, SAA, South African Breweries, Toyota, Vodacom and Woolworths.

I am currently working in Cape Town as the Director of Content Strategy at Ogilvy & Mather.
