Excellent summary on power and control, in this so brief time we spend here together.

My preference, to live in a world of beauty, in the senses and mind and body.

Most of existence runs contrary.  Don't we all know that though.

+Kenny Parnell I try to do that by reading history, taking the long view of time. Poetry does more for me than I think any drug would. It's a quiet time in the mind.
On your point, 2, others: I have been a victim of extreme violence more than once. It's effected me. On the positive side, there are people like you that I encounter: People that lift my spirit.

I have no comment. I point you to the research. Sadly.

I have a mathematical background. More than most. I tutored those who could not get through.

I tell you: stop this idea! It is a notion for those who bathe in intellectual superiority.

It's false. It's a barbed wire fence.

There is no god there.

Mathematics is the language with which God wrote the Universe. – Galileo Galilei

Indeed if we want to ‘read’ God’s mind, as Stephen Hawking might put it, we must first understand God’s language.
The famous Fibonacci sequence has captivated mathematicians, artists, designers, and scientists for centuries. Also known as the Golden Ratio, its ubiquity and astounding functionality in nature suggests its importance as a fundamental characteristic of the Universe.

+Frank Nestel I just realized -- even in art, as you see here -- I present myself theatrically. Often, in costume!?

It only occurred to me now.

So, this is government by and for the people: a police state.

There wouldn't be a terrorist threat anyway, if we exited the Middle East.

It's a costly aggression both financially and in the blood of our youth. We the people, we don't get a voice.

Senators Richard Burr (R-NC) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) released Anti-Encryption Bill Draft, and it would Kill your Privacy and Security

This is not a post about "obesity" but rather a pointer to an excellent resource for research/ curiosity in medicine, generally:

The*Lancet Clinic*, a new feature from the online medical journal, the Lancet.

This feature makes searching specifics much easier, provides summaries of recent research and other interesting facts.

I don't normally list sites unless I think they're just a great find.
A modern approach to obesity acknowledges the multifactorial determinants of weight gain and the health benefits to be derived from weight loss. Foundational to any weight loss effort is lifestyle change, diet, and increased physical activity. …The approach should be a high quality diet to which ...

I know this first hand.

It's all been done to me: censored, surveilled, watch listed, jailed,...

Yet I still have to pay taxes?!

Is the US secure? From my perspective, NO.

Why would it be? We continue to make this country hated. For what?

Qualifying the "we," the American public, the people, has no say. No influence.
Wall Street faces a number of cyber threats. There remains the need for effective recovery and response mechanisms, underpinned by preventative measures.

+Stuart Robertson I say exit: no intervention. Since 2001, almost 35,000 young Americans have lost their life in Iraq alone! Since 201, it's cost over 5 trillion dollars. For what? To be hated more by the people in the Middle East.
Goodbye to the allies. We don't need the "friends." We cannot afford it.
American citizens have not been able to decide this because politicians use a language to bypass the Constitution.
NO INTERVENTION! NO WAR! EXIT THE MIDDLE EAST!
We cannot pay these bills now.

An experiment on a very old poem.

It was fun to play with the words, time and position.

I don't know if anyone else will like it.

For those who know me, less science, politics,... more art right now. I am like a sine wave with bumps and bruises.

Digitizing some old work.

This one I did a long time ago when the vodka commercials for brand "Absolut" were created by famous artists.

This is my version as an individual who has studied science and the ethics of science.

This is selling a drug and making the drug "cool." It's not okay.

I am not suggesting prohibition but rather some ethical consideration.

Prohibition never works - but advertising dangerous drugs should be stopped!

Introduction
As a short intro, below is a poem I rewrite. I have been rewriting it since I was a eighteen.

Education & Its Employment

BS Math, BS Chemistry, Post-graduate Computer Science, Math, Statistics. Certified for various languages and applications.

Many years of rearranging symbols.

Personal, briefly

Exercise intensely. Try to laugh equally as hard. Love being spontaneous. For me, it is a test of wakefulness..

Another intense interest I have is in the visual arts and poetry. I have been very fortunate. I have been honored beyond my comprehension. Much of this recognition is new to me.

I list some of it. It's even difficult for me to write.

In literature, I have been "honored" to be placed in the Avant Writing Collection at Ohio State University's Library for Rare books. I am so proud to share the same room with William S. Burroughs, no matter how infinitesimal.

The Avant Writing Collection, Ohio State University Library, Rare Books, created to collect and archive the most "innovative writing," "internationally," for the future, for scholars and research.

In Art, four of my "art" books are in the permanent collection at MOMA. My first, my best and the only one that was not simply a request for more of the same, was curated as its own show, Obsessions Become Art. As I am aware, I have had two shows.

MOMA, Museum of Modern Art, NY NY

The same work at the MOMA is at the Banff Centre, a Canadian institution founded to advance Canada's presence, worldwide, in Art and Culture by providing the materials and environment for "research by scholars" and "professional artists."

The Banff Centre, advancing creativity, innovation and leadership. Alberta, Canada.

The Sackner Museum for Concrete and Visual Poetry (Miami, Fl)

Later and as I became, more knowledgeable about digital imaging applications, Adobe, included some of my work in their Master's Collection. I was working with technique.
