First Impressions: Assassin's Creed: Syndicate
I'm now about 5 hours in and so I decided it was time to give the game a review. To start off, I need to give a small confession - I've never played an Assassin's Creed game in my life. Literally, the only reason why I was motivated to play this one was for...

When the new all-female Ghostbusters reboot arrives in theaters next summer, nearly all the living actors from the original 1980s films — Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, et al. — will be doing cameos. But not Rick Moranis, who was offered the chance to appear in a walk-on role but turned it down. "I wish them well," says the...

Journalists simply have no business contriving dramatized scenes with dialogue and characters. To do so is inherently deceptive.

Kansas City in October!
Ah - Kansas City. I do love this place, and as we enter into October, so many more amazing events and opportunities open up. October falls into our Hermit months, so typically, it's just events that Brad and I will do, without friends. It's nothing against ...

In just under two months, Marvel’s Jessica Jones will debut on Netflix as the second of four original series leading up to The Defenders miniseries. And so far, Netflix and Marvel haven’t even given fans a proper trailer—that teaser trailer they dropped last week not withstanding—but now we've finally got a first look at the characters coming our way. Casual Marvel fans may have to be wondering, "who the hell is Jessica Jones?!" The short answer ...

Fantastic hotel - The Pub was a great place to hangout and the flexibility to bill to my room, take my food back to my room or to the pool was too much to beat. Every room is named after a British Author, giving every room that special touch. Plus, the ability to get tea and coffee in the lobby when you please. I recommend it if you want a unique experience, come here - you will not regret it. Also - there is a stuffed bear in the lobby, how can you turn that down?

I love this place - We've probably been up there at least 10 times since they opened - They have an amazing Wednesday special and the games, the atmosphere: 100%. During a Sporting KC Game day, it gets packed and celebrations are ready. I recommend if you have the time, what to have some amazing food, good drinks and a good time to stop by... I haven't found anywhere else like it.

We went in on a Friday night around 6:30 - they were super busy, which to me was a good sign. Everyone working seemed to be at ease, moving from one table to the next, being able to continue conversations and be overall friendly - it was nice to have the waitress actually conversing with us like we were new friends... Food arrived, I got the hot wings done Yaddi style with Prairie fire sauce - fantastic and super hot. They were cooked to perfection and were great. Husband got Fish and Chips - the chips were great, but the fish was a bit dry. Overall, for the price and beer selection it was a much better experience then a few places around - we will be coming again for sure.

Waitresses do not get back get back to you - We were ignored for over 30 minutes, she promptly apologized when she got back to us and we didn't see her for another half an hour! Looks like a dive, beer menu is super limited - makes me a sad panda. Also, the specials really aren't that good.

So, I'll be honest - I've probably eaten here weekly since they opened this location. I try to get something new each time (The menu is bigger than you think, especially with the specials.) The atmosphere is almost a bit more like Power and Light with the updated, modern feel. The menu is just as hip with their never fried, fresh perspective. Everything is amazing portions - The wraps and Burgers come with either chips, fruit or potato salad - while the tacos do not. But trust me, with the tacos, they are enough food without a side. They have a ton of sauces to top your food with, but I recommend trying it their way before adding new items - most of the time, the dish is fine and has the perfect flow with additions. Pricing is similar to Chipotle, depending on what you order it's actually a better value on many items. Drinks come separately, but that's the case with most places now-a-days. The best thing about this place is the employees and their speed - everyone is friendly, happy and able to get your meal prepared without missing a beat in the conversation. These people are skilled at their jobs and are happy to be here. If you haven't stopped by yet, swing by for lunch or dinner - you won't regret it.

When going through the older reviews, I have no idea which restaurant they went to, but my experience was nothing like that. I had a wonderful avocado-turkey wrap with grilled vegetables and my husband had a BBQ sandwich. Both were delightful, light and satisfying. I feel like it was a great meal and can't wait to go out there and try the breakfast menu!

See... I'm not seeing all of these negative reviews anytime I've been there - I love this place! Every time I am here I always get the best service, the food is great and the specials are okay - however, they never change, which is a bit of issue, which makes the cost go up. I do love the place though, just wish it was a bit less pricey.
