Chocolate mousse for Valentine's Day? This recipe couldn't be simpler and has an interesting secret ingredient (spoiler: tofu!) that makes it super silky and decadent.
This velvety chocolate mousse is rich and decadent and feels worthy of a special occasion despite its simple method and easy-to-gather ingredient list.

For all of you who use the weekend to do a bit of menu planning, here's my second piece in But First, Breakfast: it's savory and keeps throughout the week like a dream. #quinoa   #wholegrains
I know what you’re thinking: Waking up on a Wednesday, cooking a pot of grains, and chopping onions and garlic is just not reality. But I want to make a case for this dish, in the spirit of prepping for an excellent, inspiring breakfast ahead of time. If you start this recipe on Sunday afternoon, you'll be set for the week ahead and it’ll take you far less ...

Introduction
After growing up in Northern California and attending college in Boulder, CO and Boston, MA, Seattle is now the city I call home. I live in a blue craftsman house with a little garden and write about food, develop recipes and pen cookbook (s). I'm specifically interested in whole grain recipes, seasonal fruit desserts, and baking with natural sugars and whole-grain flours. When not writing about food, running my granola company, Marge, keeps me pretty busy.
