Seen from space, there's enough looting holes at some of Syria's archaeological sites to make them look like lunar landscapes.
The impartial eye of satellites could help archaeologists assess, or at least verify, which sites are at risk when conflict makes countries like Syria otherwise inaccessible.

How far is it true that the Marsians (people from planet Mars) are Green tiny creations? And what is the distance inbetween the stars. How long would it take a spacecraft to get through?

The Dueling Dinosaurs could make auction history tomorrow, but some fear the fossil sale could be a loss for science: http://www.livescience.com/41259-dueling-dinosaurs-await-auction-fate.html

fossils are a part of our natural history and should be in museums for everyone's benefit not in someone's personal collection

Hours before our government fell apart, I went to public hearing at the U.S. Department of the Interior about the controversial proposal to take gray wolves off the endangered species list. Here's what I learned.

There was some awesome experimental archaeology on display at #aiaapa  this past weekend. I wrote about Cornell researchers who took casts of their own faces to test how the Romans may have made wax ancestor masks 2,000 years ago.
Elite Roman families collected wax masks made in the likeness of their male ancestors, but none survive today. Researchers cast models of their own faces to recreate this ancient custom.

Are there any other planets that might support life, planets like earth?

Today I'm going to chat with NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy, who just returned from the space station. Any burning questions you want me to ask him? Let me know!

I would ask him why do our weather patterns over the earth, match the lunar craters when you reverse the lunar images? Why do I see the lunar south pole pattern all over the earth in our weather patterns, every day? Some days it's very clear. Keep your eyes on our weather, when you see a near perfect circle about 1200 miles in diameter, you take a flipped over image of the moon's Schrodinger crater, then overlay it over the weather pattern, you will see the entire lunar south pole match, why is that, I would ask?
