There was a primordial soup where several molecules/copiers (being able to duplicate) were using smaller molecules to create a copy of themselves.. the copiers were competing with other copiers to find/attract these small molecules.

But this was a natural competition.. copiers were naturally (because of electromagnetic forces) binding with the small molecules, when these were accessible.. if not the copier just couldn't be reproduced. There was no selfish motive in this process of the self reproduction.. not any sign of violence/greed.. competition was just happening.. naturally.

Now look at the scenery now.. there is a violent competition for resources, and though they are in abundance (because of technological advancement) so conflict, war, death and sorrow naturally come. Also in human relationships there is also competition which implies, anger, jealousy, attachment possession, submission, dominance and manipulation.. and the man says "oh come on, its natural to be violent, to be suspicious, competitive, its in my nature to be selfish".. can nature be really selfish at all? I think no.. Nature just is, life just happens, NOW. Probably its time that intervenes to create selfishness

There is this illusion which is born of the limited human senses that is inevitable to avoid, the optical, sonic etc illusion. Someone could say this is practical because it allows the body to survive - if it wasn't for such illusions we would fall from a cliff without even recognizing that cliff.

Now there is also another illusion, created from the Self, a Self-Illusion. The self imagines we are psychologically divided, it feels that we are separate in terms of ideas, beliefs, personal interest, thus it fights to manipulate, dominate as if we were actually separate psychologically. This dimension of illusion seems to be completely non practical, useless. On the contrary it seems to involve a great deal of pain, conflict, sorrow and fear.

Starting from the unimportants we may tackle the importants

..its quite easy to observe a thought like “how beautiful it would be if i were in Berlin instead of my home in Chios”. Its very easy because we’ve invested almost zero energy to this trivial, non repetitive thought. While its quite tough, almost impossible, to destroy the illusion that has to do with the thought “it feels really annoying to not fulfill my desires because of my wife”

What is the core of the opposites? Like the opposite sides of a coin, opposites are strongly related, one can’t exist on its own, one depends on another and both are necessarily of the same quality.

Now what is the opposite of Violence (thought/emotion)? It seems it is the ideal of Non Violence (which is actually another thought) which can't exist independently of Violence. So i am violent and i desire to be non violent. This desire and all the intellectual tricks I may use to be non violent is not actual non violence, its only the opposite of violence and they can't bring us closer to non violence. Actual non violence takes place only when these opposites cease effortlessly.

...if we don’t separate the discussion in topics like “the problem of nationalism” “the problem of racism” “the fear for a world war”, if we don't pass the parcel (to the politicians, the cruel system or capitalism) and we just see the root of all them, which is essentially division, things get much clear. Either we follow a few (more or less) identifications and we are absolutely responsible for division or not so we are totally not responsible.

You are looking at something and you don’t know what it is. This is what is
The thinker wants to know what it is and searches through his/her repertoire for a name and an explanation.
Now you think you know what it is. You have stopped looking at it and you are looking instead at your opinions and your imaginary ideas about what you will do about it.
You have, in the instant of naming, moved from looking at what is to looking at what you imagine "what is" to be.

..like Lucky Luke who was able to shoot faster than his shadow

..it seems possible that de-identification with thoughts takes place in a word-less stage.. in such case there is so much alertness and there is awareness of the emotion or thought, of anger, or fear, of jealousy or aggression, of cunningness or insecurity, as the emotion is rising from the depth.. like you see it coming. So there is a feeling/awareness of anger before of the creation of the word "anger" (when the word is still absent). Then the emotion of anger is disappearing.. or to be more accurate it isn't even appearing at all.

.. repetition and routine create a sense of boredom and this lack of excitement moves us to an eternal struggle to seek pleasure and thrill in substitutes like the game of submission/domination, the feeling of partial safety, the feeling we are necessary for our partner. Now, once this feeling is somehow threatened we feel pain and agony. And we continue for years and years in this old groove which gradually make us sink into vast sorrow which can be covered in the surface with several petty little escapes.. so we casually take trips, build new houses, discover new sex positions, go for shopping therapy, invent new hobbies, find new unofficial erotic partners..
