I cancelled my service and sent the equipment back. I waited 3 months for my refund and called them to see where it was. They gave no explanation as to why my refund was not returned and told me my refund would be on my credit card in 3 to 5 days. Day 3 it was there. Maybe I should have called sooner and I would have received it sooner. Happy with the service and getting my refund with no hassle. Thank you Sharon.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life Accounting cannot keep their records straight and then keep charging after you cancel...bad bad! A nightmare!

We have been paying for this service for almost three years for my great uncle who just turned 100. We have had to replace faulty equipment three times and when he fell this week the box failed again and he was stranded on the ground for five hours until he could crawl to a phone to call 911. When I called to cancel the service they told me I had to pay to ship the very heavy unit back and said I would have to send a hand written letter to request any type of a refund for this months service. When I said I wanted to handle the refund over the phone they hung up on me. Terrible equipment and a terrible company. They did not even apologize for my great uncle being stranded for five hours because their service failed.

I'm upgrading from 1 stars to 3 because - after I filed a complaint with the BBB - I was contacted by the company and the money they had taken erroneously was refunded. Still, it should not have been taken in the first place, and if I hadn't thought to file a complaint I might never have seen a refund. So I still recommend you avoid them... ONCE THEY GET YOUR CREDIT THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOREVER, EVEN AFTER YOU SEND THE DEVICE BACK. IF YOU TRY TO CALL TO DISCUSS THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ANSWER CALLS ARE SALES PEOPLE, THEY WILL TRANSFER YOU TO BILLING OR CUSTOMER SERVICE - AND YOU WILL BE ON HOLD FOR HOURS AND THE CALL IS NEVER ANSWERED. STAY AWAY

I researched and decided on the medical alert device distributed by this company in Broomall, PA. After a couple of months, it was clear this device was not helping my Dad as he never charged the device (it requires charging once a day) and he never wore it. The device costs around $50 per month. We decided to return the device and this is when you will run into questionable treatment by the customer service representatives and the company as a whole. Julian Davis is in charge of customers trying to return their device. I felt I had to pry any kind of information out of him as to how to stop the monthly payments and where to how/where to return the device. He mumbled the address. I asked him to spell it out for me which he did. I wrote the address down. Apparently, there is no return number, no return label, the customer is in charge of obtaining the tracking number and only when they receive this small device into their warehouse (which I am responsible for knowing when this happens) will they stop the monthly payments. So, I am supposed to track this device and call them when it gets to their warehouse so that they can locate it and stop the payments. When I had questions and issues about this very vague process I was hardly given a response and reprimanded for questioning this "process". This is not the company you want for your loved ones. Be warned.

Very disappointing. My mother passed away and it took multiple calls to get credited for returned unit. She wasn't even using the unit when she was alive. We were even charged for a month when she wasn't alive.

While the system was easy enough to set up, the canceling of the system has been a nightmare. And depending who you talk to on the phone, the customer service received is not very good either. I saw a ad about the medical alert system in a very good christian magazine called guideposts. Do not let this make your decision on whether to choose this company. Check your local hospitals first to see if they have the same service because it is very hard to get your money back from this company, as I am still waiting. I drove from Oregon to Illinois to move my 90 yr old mother to southern Calif to live with my youngest brother, and in doing so called to cancel the service and after moving my mom, brought the device back to Oregon to mail it back, in the mean time a collection notice was sent to my mom which she paid. They always want your money, they just don't want to give it back.
