We ordered a box from The Purple Carrot earlier last week. I've been curious about it, because despite a genuine love of food - I'm a lazy cook, or just an avoidant cook. Anything that proposes an option for us to have an easier time cooking dinner at home is something I'm interested

Once upon a time there was a Canadian Vegan Food swap, and it was fun to do a nationwide thing and trade with people that were complete strangers in other

Ikea veggie balls are here, and they're tasty. #vegan #Toronto
Well, they're here, and I liked them. From the moment we walked into the IKEA on The Queensway in Toronto, it shaped up to be a positive experience. There

Large scale trends and analysis are a constant source of inspiration and anxiety in the #B2B world, but much of that long term trend analysis looks past the specific job fields that will impacted. In real terms what does it mean to say the #futureofwork will be “more mobile, more social, more experiential” over the next decade. What jobs fields will contract, be made obsolete or redundant in that process?

As you might know, last year in September, Field Roast's tasty vegan sausages became scarce, and hard to find. Why was that? As JC and I learned at the

For the last few months I've been waffling about going to Vida Vegan Con in Austin, Texas. JC and I have been working on a business, and everything was coming

Lunch options in downtown Toronto. Rose City Kitchen opens a new location.
So when we went to the grand opening of Smash Juice Bar a few weeks ago, I hadn't realized there were three businesses opening up. And I didn't realize any of

Giants Rising
Fingal Head, NSW, Australia

Sunrise at the beautiful Giants Causeway in Fingal Head. I was so stoked to get back to this location after a quick visit last year. I left in the drizzle in the rain. By the time I got there, it was pouring... Made for an uncomfortable walk our the sandy path with all my gear huddled under the umbrella. I was really regretting leaving the nice warm bed thinking I would not even see the sun. Taking a few shots awkwardly from under the umbrella I was glad to see the sky start to break up, yay, I will actually get to see the sun!

I love how the light shines across the top of the rocks in this shot. Its actually a single exposure at 1 second. I do have another shot with a longer exposure, but I prefer the extra movement and interest in this one. I hope you all have a fantastic Easter holiday. Expect to see some more seascapes from the 'not so sunny' Gold Coast...

Story

Herding Kittens.
Introduction

I am into digital communications, food security, animal liberation (including human rights), privacy law, and humanizing technology. When I’m not making awesome and nerdy things happen with code, I’m probably volunteering, tending to foster cats (and our own two cats), eating, taking pictures, and doing random classes on Coursera.

I like recipe testing for vegan cookbook authours, and making creative things happen with food.

I blog about food and travel and anything else I feel like talking about on meshell.ca

Great selection of books - especially for kids (but also tonnes for adults too!) They have regular events, and support local causes.

They offer great parent baby yoga classes, including ones for crawlers. I would have happily taken prenatal yoga here. The atmosphere is friendly, casual, and relaxing.

High Park is a wonderful green space on the westside of Toronto. Lots of picnic areas and trails to explore on your own or with the whole family.

Just skip it completely. Ordered Delivery from these people on Skip the Dishes, they made the pizza incorrectly, so they sent another one, but sent a different (smaller) size. And to top it off the person delivering it the second time was rude. Disappointing & wasted money.

They will no longer do infant passport photos and did not have any suggestions for alternate locations. If you need infant passports done, and are in the neighbourhood - Crossways Mall has a spot that is recommended.
