after having issues with another online Jeweler, i thought id give McQueen's a try. Interestingly, their website is remarkably similar to the previous jeweler. Webpage format, literature, sales and sale coupon codes, and even selection near identical. Anyway, i placed order online, it said successful . I get a call the next day saying there was a credit card error that had to do with address. I confirmed the info and said to call me back if there were further issues, i really need to get this on its way. No call back that day, no followup today either. I assumed all was good but thought id call to double check. Person i spoke to gave me same story so nothing had been done. I asked what needs to be done to correct it and all they said was we can have the billing department run it again the next day. I asked why no one had called me back to tell me this, he didn't have an answer. I said i suppose i need to cancel it and buy the jewelry locally, he didn't seem to care at all about losing business which is the same attitude of the last Jeweler. I just don't get it but am taking this as a sign that they are no bueno. I was hesitant in the beginning because of the negative reviews, so now i can sleep better knowing im not going to have to fight a battle if/when they send me the product that was not the same as description.

We apologize if you felt so upset by your experience that you left us a single star review. We need to start by saying that we are confused as to how you are able to review us so negatively when we were never given the opportunity to even process your order (since the problem was triggered by your credit card's billing address) and you never received merchandise. Looking at the notes from your order, it looks like there was an AVS error when you tried to process the sale. The order was placed on Wed, Dec 23, 2015 at 10:25 PM (after hours) and our billing department contacted you the following day. On the call you stated that you recently changed your address with the credit card company and that was most likely what triggered the issue. Please note that this correspondence was Christmas Eve day and that our office closed early so our billing department was unable to attempt to process the sale again until we reopened on Monday. On Monday we tried again and it still responded with and AVS error. Before we could contact you again, you called us and requested to cancel the order. Please keep in mind that this was during the busiest time of the year and the issue was with your credit cards billing address. In regards to notes about our website- we do not have exclusive rights to carat size, color, clarity, or classic jewelry designs. We try to offer as many items to customers in as many variations as possible. Some of our competitors sell similar items and we are competitive about prices and promotions. If you had a bad experience with another jeweler online, you should leave them a review about your experience- we should not be penalized for another company's poor customer service and/or products. I bought a 1.5 carat SI2 diamond and a couple of years later I went to mount it in another setting and had a GIA appraisal. It was 1.25 carats and I1 in clarity. I sent them a letter asking them to make it right and provided a copy of the appraisal. NO RESPONSE!

I was helped by Robin. I had some reservations about the stone I picked out, but Robin talked over the details with me and also got me many photos of the actual diamond. This reassured me greatly! Also, they worked with me on getting the ring on time. This was awesome! I will definitely shop here again.

After being threatened with "severe actions" if I did not remove my very factual post, I will amend but not remove..... After purchasing diamond earrings from this retailer I cannot recommend this jeweler and I HIGHLY recommend that you have your item PRIVATELY appraised. They may be cheap BUT you get what you pay for....I was VERY disappointed with the quality and size.

Worst experience ever. I first got charged for the free shipping they said was free. I asked about it. They said I was supposed to get free shipping, but would not refund it. Not a huge deal until we went to pick out wedding bands the same quality as the engagement ring I got online from McQueen. The engagement ring looked yellow. We had it tested. It should have been H in color, when tested we were told it K or L in color. After Paying a lot to overnight it back, It took over 2 weeks to get a new diamond which they agreed was the wrong color. So even though I was sent the wrong color, they would not refund return shipping or the original shipping. Poor quality an Poor customer service. I know I should not use something online for something so expensive, but have had good luck with the well known places like "Jared" online. Don't recommend at all!

The overall customer service level that I received from McQueen Jewelry was outstanding from initial order through refund. The reps were very helpful throughout the process and keep me informed on the status of my account via email. My only issue with McQueen jewelry is the quality of their diamonds. I ordered a .75ct.VS2 Excellent cut set of diamond studs w/ screw on backs. I was really excited to receive my new earrings but when they arrived they didn't match what I thought they would look like. The diamonds just didn't have that brilliance or "visual size" that I've seen in better cut diamonds. Also, there was a visual dull cloud near the prong setting on one of the diamonds and he gridle was thick/dull. Overall, the customer service was great but the quality of the diamonds could be a little better at that price point. Lastly, new total I actual loss money on this transaction because I had to pay for shipping both ways to get the merchandise back to McQueen within the 7day refund window in order to receive a "FULL" refund."
