The most frequently used joint in the body takes care of speaking, chewing and yawning: TMJ, the temporomandibular joint.  If your teenager suffers from frequent migraine headaches, don't overlook gum chewing as a possible culprit.

A 2009 and a 2013 study both show that there is a direct correlation between periodontal disease and rheumatoid arthritis. While it is not clear if one disease necessarily guarantees the other, there is evidence to suggest that diligent treatment of periodontal disease can reduce the painful symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. If you haven't seen your dentist in a year or more, make it a priority to take charge of your oral health today.

Strange but true: If you like sugary cereal, eat it dry and then follow up with a glass of milk to lower your risk of plaque.  Milk combined with the sugary cereal will not have the same plaque lowering impact. (University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry)

On average, children smile well over a hundred times a day.  An adult male?  Only 8 smiles a day!  Time to de-stress and live life through the eyes of a child.

The British have it right:  A spot of tea is more than just a quaint social custom. Research presented at the 103rd General Meeting of the American Society for Microbiology in Washington, D.C suggests that drinking tea also helps fight bad breath.

Dr. McManus is a great dentist. His entire staff makes going for a check-up enjoyable! I know I can trust his recommendations as he looks out for what is best for his patients! I also know I can call him if we have an emergency and he is more that willing to help!!

Superb Work! Dr. McManus and his staff are doing a great job. He has been my dentist for a long time. I enjoy going there for my cleaning. The people are very friendly and that's always a plus in my book.

We recently moved to the Newnan area, and my wife and I needed to find a new dental practice. I should note that my best friend in the world is a dentist so I know a thing or two about how these guys (and gals) run their practices and I know better than most what makes a good practice good, and a bad one bad. With that said: These guys (front desk & support staff included) really have their act together. They have all the fancy technology that makes getting first rate care possible, and the deliver it in a pleasant and professional manner. Also... they were able to get me in right away and more importantly, to combine both my Initial comprehensive exam, xrays, AND my full cleaning into ONE appointment. This is something some dentist avoid probably for "financial" reasons. I was very pleased, and I would comfortably recommend them to anyone.

My family and I love Dr. McManus. The whole staff is so friendly and helpful. My children never really liked to go to dentist before, but now they don't complain at all. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dr. McManus is an exceptionally skilled dentist who truly cares about his patients and will always be honest in presenting all treatment options. My family actually looks forward to going to see "Dr. Dan".
