** AVOID THIS PLACE *** Read people's reviews here and on Yelp. This dealership has a reputation for using bait-and-switch tactics and lying to customers. I've leased several cars from McKenna BMW and my experience was nothing like it was at the VW dealership- McKenna should be embarrassed of this location. Thanks for wasting my time today, I drove an hour out of my way for you to tell me you actually don't have the car you told me you have- the best part is I came home and asked them on live chat if the car was there and they said yes! I hope this review costs you many many lost sales you unprofessional, lying dirtbags (specifically Diego & Kelli the sales manager).

The service department had always displayed excellent service starting from their Manager. It's a pleasant and hassle free experience every time I come here.

Horrible service and rude salespeople. They don't even want to discuss the deal. Just trying to get you to buy a car at full price. Go elsewhere and negotiate yourself a real deal! In addition, they advertise promotions but somehow (even if I'm the first customer on the day of the promotion) they are always sold out of that promotion. Just a bunch of scam promotions.

Lied to twice. I regret giving my money to liars. First - During the negotiation, we asked for an out the door price. The car price was $12,912, and the salesman, Brett, told us about 11% for taxes, or $14,300. He took or $13K OTD price to his manager, who said that the OTD on the $12,912 would actually be $15,500. When we asked about the huge discrepancy, Brett said, "That's what his [manager's] computer told him." When we finally landed on an OTD price of $13.5K, and got into the finance office, the taxes were only about $1,500. The sales manager inflated the original quote of taxes by $1,000. Essentially, he tried to negotiate a price above the sticker on the car. He lied. Second - We told them we had to leave quickly. The salesman Brett told us we would be done by 6:15pm because no customers were ahead of us for paperwork. When we got into the finance office at 6:30pm to start paperwork, the finance person Devin said he'd had two customers before us. Brett lied. I wish I'd walked away from the deal because I regret giving my money to liars.

Honestly, it has been one thing after another with my car I bought from McKenna Volkswagen in Cerritos. I bought my Jetta TDI Certified Pre-Owned with 32k miles. I haven't even had the car two years yet and this is the list of major problems I have had thus far: - I had to replace a filter in my engine (that had to do with diesel engines) TWICE within a few months after buying this car. A filter that even Volkswagen said I should never have to replace in the lifetime of a car...yet I had to replace it twice. This filter was $1000 each time. - I had to replace the hot side of my intercooler hose because it blew a hole in it. This was $600+. - I recently had to replace the cold side intercooler hose THREE times in the past THREE weeks, yes, three times in the past three weeks, because it blew on three separate occasions. Every time I got it fixed, it would blow not even a week later. This was also $600 per hose. Every time that hose blew, I was on the freeway, and my car was nearly brought to a stop which is not only dangerous for myself, but also dangerous for those around me. And lets not forget that my Jetta TDI is going to be recalled for something that was done illegally to my car by Volkswagen. At this point, I am done with this car. I want nothing to do with it. This intercooler hose has yet to be fixed after breaking on me three different times, I've gotten dirty loaner cars (when I can manage to get one from them), and today I waited over an hour for the loaner car (which was dirty) when the lady told me they were filling it up with gas really quick. They must have gotten gas pretty far for it to take them over an hour to get me the loaner. I am at my wits end at this point.

I was looking for a basic 2-door VW Golf or Honda Fit/Civic for my son. Tried getting the lowest quote through True Car and settled for the outgoing model of Honda Civic because it was cheapest; VW Golf was more expensive at all dealers. I was about to go and buy the Civic, when I got a phone call from Neil, who is big boss at McKenna VW. I asked him to match the Civic price if we wanted my business. He was sort of offended that I was comparing VW to Civic (now I understand why). In the end, we agreed on a number very close to what I wanted to pay- ALL over the phone. In one hour, I was at the dealership where RICHARD (the sales person) took care of the rest. No gimmicks and no hassles. DEVIN, the finance guy, had three other buyers before me. That delayed me, but there is not much they could do about it. Kevin was very easy to deal with as well. On the Side: They gave me one key that belonged to another car. I brought it to their attention. RICHARD called me when the key arrived in the parts department. They programmed it to my car in a very short time. When I was about to leave, they discovered the missing key for my car. So, I have three keys now. They gave me a complementary VW key ring, for the inconvenience. This was a very relaxing, possibly the best, car purchase experience I had. I highly recommend this dealership.

Over the last couple weeks I've visited close to a dozen dealerships. Every time I entered I felt like the sales managers were out to screw me over. I never trusted their words or their sly smiles. When I found the right vehicle online at VW McKenna Cerritos, I contacted their internet sales manager, Roberto Castro. He confirmed that the car was on the lot and told me that it would be waiting for me to test drive when I arrived. As promised, the car was out front, and Roberto was easy to find. His radiant smile made me realize that I had finally come to the right place. The car was already priced below value and was something I felt comfortable with from the beginning. My father in law helped me negotiate several hundred down from that and we made our deal. Along the way we were assisted by fantastic team members- Kimo Pahoa- the Sales Manager, Devin Smith, Finance Manager, and the GM Neil Okun. I had no idea that Neil was the GM- he helped me with anything I needed (including cleaning the gunk off the key from the sticker) without an air of aristocracy. A true example for his staff! All in all I had a great experience at McKenna in Cerritos and I would recommend that you visit this dealership when you need a new or pre-owned vehicle.

Best first buying car experience ever! I called and talked to Robert, who was very sweet. I went in the next day and was referred to Luis, the internet sales manager. He worked with me, got me in and out fast all while spending alot of time on the deal. Financing was great! Love this dealership :)
