McGillin's Olde Ale House is Philadelphia's oldest continuously operating tavern and one of the oldest in the country. It is known for local beer (30 beers on tap), inexpensive comfort food and camaraderie.
Great place for comfort food. I recommend the "Mile High" meatloaf and Sheppard’s pie, but everything tastes great and is priced reasonably. Best special nights(after 5pm) are Mondays(half price personal pizzas) and Tuesdays($.35 wings). Large selection of beers too. Friendly staff and nice owners. A must stop when visiting Philadelphia.
Wow amazing place to eat and drink, not only for the cheap booze and lively atmosphere...but in the oldest pub in Philadelphia has bucks of charm.
Round of drinks for 3 was less than $10 bucks and the staff were friendly and fun.
Highly recommend for Mondays is the half price pizza which are only $6 to start with...
