Functional MRI can detect the difference in signal caused by the increase in blood flow to specific areas of the brain. #FunctionalMRI #fMRI #brainMapping #DTI #diffusiontensorimaging
Functional MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is a noninvasive diagnostic test that measures small changes in blood flow as a person performs tasks while in the MRI scanner. Functional MRI detects the brain in action (e.g., speaking or moving). It has an advantage over other imaging studies that focus only on the structure of the brain. This test helps doctors understand how a tumor or a stroke has altered brain function. It is also an important to...

I accompanied my mother to the Mayfield Brain and Spine Clinic. When we arrived we were told the doc was running 1-1/2 hours behind. After 2 hours my mother was called to the examining room. Approximately 30min later a resident came in to discuss my mother's injury. He was very thorough and knowledgeable and spoke with her approx. 30 mins. After he left her doctor came in and gave her a diagnosis and talked about her treatment for approx. 15-20 mins. We arrived to her appointment on time and after waiting over 3 hrs she was finally seen by the doctor. When we asked why they didn't call to notify us of the delay we were told if the doctor got caught up they didn't want him to wait! And there were plenty of people willing to wait hours to see their doctors! I for one do not think a doctor's time is more important than anyone else's. If this appointment would have been for myself I would not have waited. If your time is just as important to you, I would look for another practice.

Arrived ahead of time with my wife for her first appointment...the doctor canceled and the staff failed to properly inform us...we both lost a day of wages and also were offered no real satisfaction for our losses...I think they are sorely remiss in scheduling accuracy and customer/patient relations. We drove an hour each way to make this appointment, arriving 30 minutes ahead schedule as well. Not possible to leave a zero star rating but it was deserved.

Came in with a fractured spine and was told to wear a brace for 3 months and i would be fine and should not have any long term issues afterward. A year later and I'm in just as much pain now as I was then. I also called to inform them I was still suffering and I never heard anything back .. Don't recommend.

I was very disappointed in the Mayfield group! It took my husband 8 months to get to see Dr, Gridner. He was the most rudest and uncaring doctor we have ever meet. He said there was nothing they could do for my husband. He has a herinated disc and two bugling disc. This doctor must of been on something cuz he told my husband who is not on pain medicines. That he needed to be on subutex. I ask him isn't that what the put people on to get off heroin? He rudely yelled at me and said I don;t know everything! My husband cried and said I don't want to be on pain medicine. He told my husband to shut up! They did nothing for us. The doctor said it was due to my husband triple A. Dr. Gridner told us he would call our family doctor for his pain management and the vascular surgeon for his trip[e A. It was been over a week and the doctor hasn't call any of his doctors. This doctor had a super big chip on his shoulders. when we was getting ready to leave, he said to my husband. You know that doctor who operated on your back !st. Yes, the one who operated on my upper back. When I thought he was to operated on my lower back. Dr gridner well he died in his sleep Feb 17 2016. Well his daughter found him dead. Like it was my husband's fault! If Dr. Mayfield would be flipping out, if he know how they treated people. Dr. Mayfield was the best ever. It's a shame for such a great doctor like Dr. Mayfield. To have his name associated with these doctors. I use to tell people how great they were. I will never say that again. I now tell people to stay way from them. The letter they sent out. Telling us about Dr. Gridner. The picture of on the letter looks like it was taken when he finsihed med school. what a waste out our time and money!

This place is amazing! What a relief. I sent an email asking what to do. Within min they called, took my info, got me in to start therapy insurance and all THE NEXT DAY. I'm new here, and that's unheard of where I come from. Not only that, I have an appt with a PA in less than 3 weeks, again unheard of. Blessings abound here!!!
