Look at the verge article http://www.theverge.com/2016/1/20/10797268/googles-new-algorithm-chrome-run-faster as well as all the media talking about Brotli. Not even a mention saying that it'll happen only on https. They just say Chrome will be 25% faster for the web. No one tried to clarify it. It's misinformation. I'm not saying it's your fault (probably journalists not doing their job) but it's a problem.

I work in mobile and web 2.0 development from different approaches: development & private consulting, book writingtraining and public speaking. I'm Nokia Developer Champion since 2006 and Adobe Community Champion since 2011, I'm the author of the book Programming the Mobile Web published by O'Reilly Media (no, I didn't choose the animals on the covers).
