Report says 1000-1200 employees will be moved from Google+ to other divisions.

+Maxime Lebled True, but there is a downside, though admittedly I swallowed Yoogle+ with the caveat that they could have fixed YouTube's existing issues too.
But that wasn't the case, and now it never will be.

Shared publicly -Google+ is a good platform now, but I can still hardly find any uses for it... I have Twitter to quickly post very short messages and keep up with friends, Facebook to keep up with friends on a more personal level, Tumblr for "fast" blogging... etc
I'm only really using G+ to follow some Android-related stuff and hardly anything else. Eh.
At least there's a first step: content is present here.
I wonder if anyone who added me to their circles is actually reading this, though? Can I hear something back if you're reading this? Comment or drop a +1 so I know my followers aren't just dead accounts. I'm curious. :o

It feels cleaner here, but everyone else on my feed seem to be more active elsewhere.

Shared publicly -Google+ integration into YouTube has begun.
I still can't shake off the feeling they're just trying to FORCE people to use it. G+ would be a lot better off if there were actual incentives...

I really feel that all Google really needs to do is actually INTEGRATE Google+ into YouTube, let alone take care of the use of a personal name with no alternates or public handles (which is the dumbest idea I've ever seen, coming from a guy who grew up in message boards during the late 90's and early naughts.)
Just for starters, there's a ton of legacy features (necessary in the interim to not destroy a large chunk of YouTube's content contained in comments and messages) like comment threading and message organization that could EASILY be taken over by Google+ outright, but still displaying the content within YouTube.
Call me silly, but I've long pined for YouTube to overhaul the comment and message systems to allow for searching of one's OWN comments. Before the Google+ update, the comment notifications within YT only displayed each individual reply to a specific comment, but not within context or even a fucking hyperlink for the comment in question. As for comments on a specific video, I loved how "show all new comments" meant "show all new comments from the last 5 minutes that are the exact same ones you are replying to right now", which totally justifies stretching the browser page length to compete with cosmic strings.
Right now, it feels like most of what their doing is redirection, which is insane. This kind of thing also devalues Google+ accounts, as right now there's no real cons to having one's Google+ account banned due to trolling on YT. Here's Google+! More hassle, with zero improvements to compensate!
Oh, and if it isn't already a feature, they need to make Google+ account mergers a thing, because I'd happily link my USSMariner account to this if it meant basic message timeline functionality that message boards like SubspaceCommsNetwork and TrekBBS have had for more than 20 years.

Ate two meals there during an Iceland stopover. The menu is a mix of stereotypical "american" and Icelandic things. The restaurant looks really nice, great service, great food, decent prices. Would definitely recommend if you want to eat "familiar" food.

Same taste as regular McDonald's, a wee bit on the expensive side (Norway prices), premises are however sub-par.

Quite cheap, decent service. I paid 235 euros for 3 nights. Cleanliness was sometimes questionable, but nothing outrageous or hazardous. The beds look bad but are actually quite comfortable. The staff was friendly. I'm however not a huge fan of the common showers (there are several, with varying quality, ranging from "camping trip" to "regular hotel") . At least rooms had individual sinks.
One big problem: the curtains didn't block light from the midnight sun very efficiently. This is pretty bad for sleeping. This is one point that seriously needs be improved. Please get better curtains or offer those eye mask things to guests.
Overall I'd recommend this if you're just staying over for a few nights, or if you're short on money. You might want to go for a more middle-range option.
Overall I'm satisfied with my stay but I believe this hotel can offer many improvements over their current services with minimal impact on operating costs.

Excellentes pizzas artisanales (la pâte est à en rêver, et aucun ingrédient n'est fade), rapide (4 pizzas prêtes en 10 minutes) , le tout à très bon prix !
