On May 26, Huntsville's Mayor Tommy Battle, in an Official Proclamation, declared June 28 Microwave Dave Day while announcing the establishment of the Microwave Dave Music Education Foundation.
On June 28, a full day of musical festivities is being planned at AM Booth's Lumberyard, with notable local musicians joining Dave on stage throughout the day. The musical extravaganza will culminate in a performance by headliner, Microwave Dave, and his band, The Nukes! The finale may end up with an All-Star cast jamming on stage with the NUKES.
Food trucks and beverages will be available all day (personal food and drinks are prohibited).
The event is being held to announce and establish the Microwave Dave Music Education Foundation. A $10.00 donation is being suggested at the door. Donations will be used to cover operating expenses associated with Microwave Dave Day and to help establish a fund for The Microwave Dave Music Education Foundation.
For those unable to attend, donations can be mailed to: Microwave Dave Music Education Foundation (MDMEF), P. O. Box 18411, Huntsville, AL 35804.
