Thank you for correcting that for me.

I have read the community posting rules. I must have misunderstood them.  I read that News was for changes to the game and PVE raids was talking about raid strategies or finding people to raid with:

As my post was about the change to the game mechanics in yesterdays patch, I thought News was the correct place.

Ebola vs Influenza

Transmission:
Ebola
* By contact with infected person or surface they have touched, sneezed, or coughed on
Influenza
* By contact with infected person or surface they have touched, sneezed, or coughed on
* Airborne, breathing the same air as an infected person
Winner: Influenza

Vaccines:
Ebola
* No current vaccine, some are in testing phase
Influenza
* Yes but each strain requires a different vaccine and it is not a lifetime vaccine
Winner: Tie, slight edge to Ebola.

Mortality Rate:
Ebola
* About 50% worldwide. Level of care is a large factor in mortality. Early treatment drastically reduces mortality rates.
influenza
* Less than 0.1%
Winner: Ebola

Death toll:
Ebola:
* Every death recorded by WHO since 2000: 755
Influenza:
* The Swine flu (H1N1 outbreak of  2009-2010), 18,036 (lab-confirmed by WHO), The estimated number  was between 105,700 and 395,600 but let us stick with cases where a lab confirmed that it was influenza not pneumonia or some other respiratory disease.
Winner: Influenza by a landslide

Perspective:
Ebola:
* With no vaccine available there are: 3 confirmed cases, 11 definite cases of exposure, and 132 possible exposures(http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/outbreaks/2014-west-africa/united-states-imported-case.html). If all of these people have it and die, which would be well above the mortality rate for the disease, that would put the total at 143. Based on the normal mortality rate where early care is given, about 70 is expected
Influenza:
* With a vaccine available: California alone has reported over 300 deaths since 1/1/2014 from influenza.

Overall Winner: Influenza. Yes if you catch Ebola, you are more likely to die from Ebola than Influenza but the chance to catch Influenza's is so much higher that the possibility of a epidemic or pandemic is a real nightmare. The death toll for the 2009 pandemic was relatively small at about a quarter million people. Previous flu pandemics have wiped out millions.

10 Grammar Mistakes People Love To Correct (That Aren't Actually Wrong)
Are you the sort of person who just loves correcting other people's grammar? Are you sure that you're doing it right? Some things that people have been taught are rules of English grammar are really not rules at all—and some of them are flat-out wrong.

Food: the menu has a huge selection. Choose from breakfasts, Italian, Mediterranean, deli sandwiches, seafood, steaks, Hamburg's, melts, etc. The menu is about 8 pages long. The portions are huge, generous, enormous take your pick. The quality is good as well. Price: given the size of the meals, very affordable. When I ordered meatloaf It came with 5 slices of meatloaf, a salad, and half a plate of mashed potatoes. Always leave room for dessert. They have a massive selection of cakes and pies. The cakes slices are LARGE.

The worst part: After eating dinner I went to the restroom. While I was washing my hands a man came out of the stall after a "major transaction " walked right past the sinks and straight into kitchen. The food: The $39 rib eye I got was tasty and cooked properly. It was also the smallest rib eye I have ever seen. It was maybe 1/8 inch thick. I felt bad for my friend who also ordered one because she only gets 1" cheat" meal a month to eat meat, when I asked what she thought of it she mentioned her disappointment at the size as well. The service: excellent
