Seen the SIRI commercial with Samuel Jackson? Don´t try it at home!
your mileage may vary, even when you use the exact recording of the ad ´It just works´ is a great slogan but hard to live up to apparently

HOW SIRI INTERPRETS IT WHEN I SAY “REMIND ME TO PUT THE GAZPACHO ON ICE IN AN HOUR”:

Put the spot show on ice

Put the spots on Icenhour

Put tickets botulinum2

Thinking that perhaps my enunciation was poor, I attempted the same thing with the exact audio from the ad3. Things went from bad to worse:

HOW SIRI INTERPRETS IT WHEN SAMUEL L. JACKSON SAYS “REMIND ME TO PUT THE GAZPACHO ON ICE IN AN HOUR”:

Call Mirium Booksbaum

Call Anna-Genelle Harev

Call Ron Ridenhour

I can’t imagine why these all turned into phone calls, but it’s especially amusing to know that all of the above names are actually combinations of my various contacts invented by Siri, not real people.

Amazing that IBM doesn´t allow SIRI inside its buildings. If this is the result of the advanced voice recognition technology there is really nothing to worry about.

Ahahahah, this gave me a bit of a laugh. I always wondered how real those commercials with Jackson and Zooey Deschanel were. Guess Siri isn't Gezpacho friendly yet. Lol

You don´t hear people talking about Siri anymore +Kenneth Campbell but the ads just go on. They claim they have been edited for brevity but it seems Apple went a bit further.

What was edited out for berevity?

"Just put a motherf***ing reminder on my motherf***ing calandar! English, motherf***er, do you speak it?!"

Maybe they edited out the moment Jackson demanded his real PA back in +Joseph Kane :)
Are advertisements not considered evidence in class action suits? I wonder how this could be explained away.

Yes, Siri is great in a well controlled environment, like an ad.

A recent video pitting it against Samsung 's S-voice showed clearly that such features are nothing more than a funny gimmick.
