Oh, yes. This is happening. Even better, it's happening only because Ezra said he wanted to see it, without me ever even mentioning it! Totally brought it up on his own! Certainly one of my proudest moments as a dad! :D

I could not possibly agree more with the author's feelings towards gose brews.

This is the perfect summary:

"If Gose was that worthy of so much excitement and attention from America’s world-class brewers and drinkers, we simply would have gotten to it by now. But it’s not, and we didn’t. And the reason we’re getting to it now has to do with the fanboy ethos that dominates the world of beer geeks. Like any area of obsessive enthusiasm, novelty becomes more and more tightly equated with value, prized above nearly everything else. The more mainstream types begin to take an interest in craft beer, the more the cognoscenti are forced to seek out weirder, more challenging, more distasteful fare to retain their credentials and slake their curiosity."
It tastes like sweat. Warm, spicy sweat.

Anderson valley is the first gose I had. I like it, but it's definitely pretty sour. I like their blood orange better than the "kimmy...". Off Color's sours are really nice, and more subtle, but impossible to find where I live.
Certainly, there's trends in craft beer, like with anything, but at least craft beer keeps having a wide variety of styles.

+Sarah Tucker. I love you. I always have, since I first laid eyes on you 6 years ago. This is the only mountaintop I could shout it from, my mistake was not doing it sooner. I want to spend my days with you and here it is for the world to see, because I couldn't be more proud of my beautiful Sarah.

SO excited to finally move now that our lease is up. Management is surly and has an attitude any time you make an inquiry about anything. Walls are paper thin, which means that not only sounds come through, but so do smells. We dealt with the smells of cigarettes and weed from our neighbors for months before I finally got fed up, knocked on their door and told them it had to stop. Half of the electrical outlets don't work, but maintenance hasn't fixed anything after months of multiple calls regarding it. The ovens are ancient and falling apart, but they refuse to replace them, even when the burners are broken and none of the knobs work properly. The front and back doors let in cold air in the winter to such an extent that I can see my plants move when the wind blows, but even replacing the weather stripping hasn't helped. Even with all the windows open in the summertime it looks like a dungeon inside because no light gets in due to how the townhouses are situated geographically, as well as sunlight being blocked by the ginormous cedar trees lining the backs of the townhouses, which also leave a disgusting carpet of cedar needles out back year-round. I don't know what the trees out front are, but they shed leaves even in the summer and they are constantly dropping twigs and branches year-round like I've never seen any tree do in my life, which means the front walkways are ALWAYS covered in tons of branches, both small and large. The cabinets have sharp screws sticking out of them that I have cut myself on numerous times when taking things out and putting things in. The cabinet shelves are so short that you can't put most cereal boxes in them, but they're also so shallow that the doors won't shut if you put boxes in on their sides. Storage space in general is nearly nonexistent, so we never have room for everything after a grocery trip for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. The back patios are so small that you can't grill on them according to the rules in the lease. The HVAC controls are downstairs with no sensor upstairs, so the lower level is freezing in the winter, while the upstairs is sweltering, which also results in absurd utility bills. Maintenance is friendly if you deal with the on-site guys, but the contacted folks are seemingly the cheapest, worst they can find. It took 3 weeks for them to come measure a broken window, then another month for them to come replace it. They don't scrape or salt AT ALL if it snows or ices and they defer blame to corporate if you ask why. Last year our older daughter got hurt on walkway ice that should have been salted, this year when it snowed 6 inches, they didn't scrape the parking lot and I had to dig our car out myself with buckets of hot water just so we could get to work. The drainage is so bad here that if it rains for 5 minutes, the walkways flood and cover with mud, but management won't hire a drainage/groundskeeping company to fix it. This place loves to bill themselves as upscale, nice living, but they don't offer a fraction of what truly upscale places offer. We're moving to a 3br, 1.5ba HOUSE in Lindley Park for the same price as we're paying here. Can't wait to leave.

I manage a bike shop behind this Little Caesar's on Spring Forest Rd in Raleigh, NC. Myself and my employees get pizza at this location regularly and I decided to get one for myself today and share it. The first odd thing I noticed was that when I got back to the bike shop, the pizza was only warm, not hot like usual. It also had the look of a pie that has been sitting for a while, rather than the usual glistening look. I ate 2 pieces and immediately began to feel unwell. Without being crass, I will simply say that I spent a good while in the bathroom and ended up leaving work 3 hours early with cramps after my body "flushed" all that it could. once I got home I laid down and immediately had to jump up and run to the bathroom where I proceeded to vomit uncontrollably and experience even more cramps. I spent the remainder of the night up and down from the bathroom cramping, dehydrated and unable to keep even water down. Today I am still not feeling 100% well, but I went in to work anyway. I took the remainder of the pizza, all of it but 2 slices, and went to the location to ask for a refund since the website states they have a satisfaction guarantee. The manager got on the phone with the franchise owner who said that the satisfaction guarantee does not apply to them and that it is their store policy not to issue refunds. After attempting to contact their corporate office for a third time, the owner said that they wouldn't issue me a refund until I contacted the city health department and had them do an inspection. This has been the most absurd excuse for customer service I have ever seen. I am a manager and I go out of my way to make dissatisfied people happy on a daily basis. For a franchise owner to conduct themselves this way and neglect a regular consumer is outlandish. And to think it's all over not wanting to give me back my $6. Maybe I'll just call the attorney general to report them for poor business practices and ask them for the 3 hours of lost wages that they cost me, as well.

Sweet Memories Bakery and the owner, Donna Ford, are amazing! She is so sweet and she makes the BEST cake and cupcakes you will EVER taste! Her artisan cakes are incredible and it's easy to see why she's been featured on the Food Network and made cakes for such luminaries as Coach K., Hulk Hogan, the Clintons, Princess Diana, Princes William and Harry (seriously!!! I couldn't believe it, but then I had her cake and I understood why!) and so many other famous names! Just look at her galleries on her website, it's hard to believe that some of her creations are actually cakes! It's totally worth the drive to Apex from anywhere in the Triangle area to pick up even a single one of her cupcakes, but you'll probably want to take home a dozen! Make sure you try the Boston Cream Pie cupcake! It's incredible!!!

Wow, lots of people chugging their Haterade here! I've been with Coastal for almost 2 years now. I came from Truliant FCU in Greensboro (who I've been with for 30 years) and I have to say my experience with Coastal has been better than all my years with Truliant. The 7 days a week, 7am-7pm tellers are great, the remote teller locations (the Internet kiosks someone else here was griping about like some crotchety old codger) are awesome and I've never had a single problem with them, plus the tellers and phone employees are always friendly, professional and helpful. Don't listen to the negative reviews. People mostly come to review pages to piss and moan anyway. Think about how many people are actually happy with Coastal and haven't gone out of their way to write a review! I simply happened to be looking at Google Maps for something else in the area, saw the negativity being spewed here and felt that I needed to come to the defense of the people who have served me and thousands of other so well in the past! I've had my experience with banks and I will never use a bank again. Credit unions all the way for me! Get a Coastal account, forget about scammy, ripoff banks and ignore these haters here. A handful of 1 star reviews does NOT speak for the thousands of other happy Coastal members!

Decent beer selection, great breakfast bar (best place in town for value on breakfast!), helpful, friendly employees, a great front yard... This place is just awesome! The only time I'm not happy is when I'm enjoying a beer outside and a smelly hippie sits upwind of me, but even that hasn't deterred me from my near-daily trips there! Great place to sit, read, unwind, have a beer and get some eats on the cheap! Definitely one of my favorite spots in Carrboro!

I can't understand why this place is so revered by locals, other than the possibility that it's a jingoistic attitude toward favoring local businesses. The thing is, there are much better local places to eat. The food is OK (actually, the Manhattan is very good, aside from the crust, which is as hard as bricks), but the service is impossibly slow and the employees always seem to have a surly attitude about them, as if the fact that you're there is a bother to them. It is also unreasonably overpriced, even by Carrboro/Chapel Hill standards. Give it a shot for lunch if you want to overpay for not much food and bad service. For breakfast, you're better off going to the hot bar at Weaver Street Market where you get more (and better) food for less money from employees who seem happy to see you. All in all, don't just take my word for it, maybe you'll love it as much as so many people here seem to. Personally, I won't be back. There are too many restaurants in town with better food, better prices and nicer employees to give any more of my hard-earned money to Neal's.
