- What really happened
I was sitting in a dark room and must have fallen asleep. Suddenly, I heard someone calling my name. Once, twice. I got up and searched for an exit out of this room with its cold atmosphere that was prevailing. As I got towards the point I believed the voice was calling me from there was a slightly visible ray of light coming through the wall. I tried to find a button or something that would move upon a human's touch but I could not find anything. Then, a futuristic looking crest lit up on the wall and a woman's voice led me to enter the next room. As the door opened itself, I stepped out of the darkness.
Outside, a group of men looking like generic agent smiths were waiting for me. One of them told me to follow. Great! Six people and just one of them appeared to be able to talk. These guys all looked like bodyguards. But bodyguards never speak. They were the only people able to seduce women without using words, I thought.
As we arrived at another door, the only one of the group able to speak used some cryptic words to open the door. Once we all sat on our chairs, the leader nodded towards the other agents. They all left the room leaving me and their leader alone. I felt like in one of these games where all the clichés of the future had come true. But one of my favourite game characters once said: "Nothing is a cliché when it happens to you.".
The Agent Smith looking man in front of me began to speak: "Agent siorpaesas. This is your name, correct?"
He continued: "You were taken in due to a report from another agent. He accused you to have plans for building a huge Exotic Matter Magnet which would have the purpose to purge the world from XM."
I put my WTF face on and stared into his eyes as if his eye colour changed every single second: "Sounds slightly far fetched and with that I mean that agent must be crazy!"
"You really never had plans to build this sort of magnet?", he wanted to know.
Me: "Never. I'm not a technician. I use XM only for regular purposes as it should be."
He looked at me and said: "Could you imagine an other's agent's motivations for accusing you to have these sort of plans?"
Me: "Nope. With the possible exception of using ADA refactors on one of the enemy faction's critical portals."
He asked me for the agent's name who would be placing these sort of accusations.
Me: "That's one of the riddles in this world I probably won't be able to solve in the near future."
He: "Do you have a suspicion?"
Me: "Not at all. Who was the one reporting me for this surreal sounding XM Magnet plan?"
He: "Need not know!"
His answer made me feel scary for a few seconds.
He: "Agent siorpaesas, you're free to go." He put my XM Scanner back on the table.
I asked him another question while I was leaving the room: "For how long have I been in here?"
He: "You were taken in four days ago. We've searched your entire house for materials or plans of the XM Magnet."
Me: "You could just have asked for the plans. I could have told you that there were no plans at all! And I hope you replaced all the broken locks or windows in my house!"
He got up and opened the door for me. "We use different techniques to enter a suspect's house. You may walk strait ahead and enter the third door."
I did as been told and entered the third door. Behind it, it was completely dark. The next second I realized my presence, I was standing in front of my favourite place in my home town with my XM Scanner in my left hand. I was standing exactly on the Portal only with one thought in my head: "They are right! The world is not what it seems!"
