Unfortunately, using code first, there is no out of the box way to specify decimal precision on your property using decorators. Here's a data annotation class that will enable that functionality.
There are some common gotcha's when you first get started with the .NET Entity Framework and how numeric values are handled

+Matthew Mombrea, all I was saying is that Entity Framework's "Code First" encompasses both "Data Annotations" and "Fluent API".

After you make the move to a Hyper-V high availability cluster, your options for VM backup are reduced. Here are two common solution: MS System Center and Altaro Hyper-V Backup
Microsoft was nice enough to provide Hyper-V backup capability for individual Hyper-V hosts that worked great and was free with the OS. Once you move to a Hyper-V cluster however, the free ride is over.

Over a year later and Mailbird is still my full time email client. With version 2.0 it gets even better. Mailbird has also been kind enough to provide 50 free lifetime licenses to ITWorld readers so head over and grab one if you're interested.
I've been using Mailbird for well over a year now. With last weeks release of version 2.0 it's even better.

As cloud infrastructure becomes the new norm, Microsoft appears to be adapting by providing a cloud targeted server install option called Nano Server.
In a leaked presentation about Windows Server 2016, the focus appears to be on building cloud infrastructure with a "zero footprint" install called Nano Server.

The actual conversion of an existing SVN project to a new Git repo is pretty easy (steps are described) but what's more interesting is the Git web server solution we're using - GitLab.
I talked about why we decided to make the switch to Git, now I'll talk about how to actually migrate an SVN project to a Git repository.

The tooling and frameworks for building HTML5 mobile apps have improved greatly making more companies evaluate the choice between native and platform agnostic.
Advances in JavaScript frameworks and mobile browsers have made HTML5 apps better, but can they be good enough?

Over the next couple of years I'm predicting a departure from the current wide box, heavy background image, parallax trend toward more hand crafted experiences. #webdesign   #webdevelopment
Predicting design trends for 2015 is so 2013. Here's where I see the web going when looking out a couple of years.

Fans of static typing rejoice! TypeScript gets a major backer in Google's Angular project. What does this mean for Dart though?
Google adopting Microsoft's TypeScript language for its upcoming version of Angular is a big win for the platform

+Freemen Muaddib I believe that Angular 2 is being built in TypeScript and must be transpiled into Dart as a conversion.

Configuring link aggregation with multiple port groups via LACP on a TP-LINK switch isn't exactly hard, it's just not obvious. Here's how to do it.
I realize this is a very specific topic and situation, but this solution needs to exist on the internet.
