Amazing Art: 3D Calligraphy by Tolga Girgin

Thanks to +Colossal

#amazingart   #creativity
Istanbul-based graphic designer Tolga Girgin (previously) continues to experiment with 3D calligraphic letterforms by adding shading and photographing his pieces from just the right perspective. The effect is uncanny as the logos, words, and figures seem to curl up and hover just above the page

Amazing Art: 12 Cool Cadillac Ranch Copies

#creativity   #coolstuff  amaz
The legendary Cadillac Ranch can’t be beat but it CAN be copied! These 12 tinny tributes to Amarillo’s angled auto art shift flattery into high gear.

Wonderful Structures: Ridiculously steep bridge in Japan

Buckle up.

#cooljapan
You’d likely feel more than a little trepidation approaching this bridge head-on, wondering how in the world your car is going to drive straight up a nearly-vertical surface. Spanning Lake Nakaumi …

Potheads are about to exterminate this California species.

This crime raises serious ethical issues for animal-lovers who also love their weed.

#animallovers   #nature   #wildlife
A threatened species is on the brink of disappearing as pot farms on public land dish out poisoned baits for wildlife.

I stopped in here for the first time for a quick lunch on a scorching 100 degree day. It was nice and cool inside and I got my meal in 10 minutes. The chicken gyro and sweet potato tots were great. This is my new favorite spot for lunch or dinner.
