This might be the best #photosphere  I've taken so far. I took this right after the rain stopped yesterday at General Sherman in Sequoia National Park.

I had a few days off and I needed to get out of the city; I figured if I went to the forest to look at some big damn trees it would help. If you have the means, I highly recommend it.

Warning: there are a lot of similar pictures of trees and of me standing next to trees. I'll add some captions and do some editing at some point, but you get what you pay for, I guess.

My GoPro videos will probably not be this exciting to watch.

When I saw the red and blue flashing lights in my rear view mirror, I thought,

And the Congressional campaign against science continues!
Should dietary guidelines consider the environmental effects of our food choices? The government-appointed Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee thinks they should. Congress, however, says no.

Ugh. I hate sending faxes.

Watch Damnation on Netflix or Vimeo or whatever you can and then sign the petition.
Join us in calling on President Obama to crack down on deadbeat dams, beginning with four especially harmful, federally operated dams on the lower Snake River in southeastern Washington: Ice Harbor Dam, Lower Monumental Dam, Little Goose Dam and Lower Granite Dam. This petition was created in conjunction with the documentary film DamNation, and supporting partners Patagonia and Save Our Wild Salmon. Please visit DamNationFilm.com to learn mor...

I think this is along the lines of what we were saying last night, +Joe Viana.

I am Matt Johnson and I like to play outside.
Introduction
I grew up in Michigan, went to school on the east coast, and then moved to the west coast. I've been known to have a pretty dry sense of humor and I'm one of the least excitable people you'll ever meet so don't take it personally: it's just me.
Bragging rights
I once milked a cow in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains

The atmosphere is very nice but I didn't think the sushi was anything special. At $10 or $15 a plate it would have been great but it's not.

Mike has done a great job with all of our cars for a few years. He charges a fair price and doesn't push for any unnecessary service.
