Could this be the most important video on the internet?

It seems likely.

Anderson Cooper is gay! This is making me pretty happy.

His email is very nicely put (he is a journalist after all), and makes some excellent points. It's important to be visible, and not to hide your sexuality, because, as he says, it gives "some the mistaken impression that I am trying to hide something - something that makes me uncomfortable, ashamed or even afraid."

Our sexualities shouldn't be something we don't talk about, or something we hide. Strait people don't conceal their sexualities from the wider world and it's counterproductive for us to do so.

Nice work, Cooper. You're a babe.

I much prefer G+'s interface to Facebook. And I made a genuine effort to use it for ages. But... sigh. Maybe I shouldn't give up hope. Maybe I should start posting everything I post to Facebook here as well in the hope it will make the transition easier for other people.
Is there anyone out there? Would that be worth it?

Transgender 101: 15 Things To Know
Most of the literature I came across was geared specifically toward helping professionals who already have a baseline understanding of transgenderism. Therefore, I decided it was time to write a book that could be used by parents, teachers, family, friends, professionals, and students alike.

Outside of homosexuality, transgender and other gender queer individuals may deal with less understanding and lack of knowledge; for those who may want to learn more on the subject or even take a look at what it means, this is a helpful start.

Excellent article. Of note: The next version of one of the international standard psychological diagnostic manuals, the DSM, no longer classifies transgenderism as a mental disorder. Also renames Gender Identity Disorder to 'Gender Dysphoria'. As a psyc major, I'm a little proud of the industry for adapting like that.

You should write a book about his adventures.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
Introduction
Who am I?  I'm a student, I'm a teacher, I'm a scientist, I'm trying to do my bit to fight climate change. I like singing along to music, I like bright colours, I like books, I like boys. Maths, biology, science fiction, fanasy, TV and people are all things that I like. I like to sleep, but I don't do it much.
