Not sure if this will be any good (the comic books were), but listening to the lamentations of the focus-on-the-family-ish groups will make it worthwhile none the less.

Ugh, that is disappointing. I should have known better than to get my hopes up with Fox.

I backed his previous project. +Brent Newhall delivers.

Wanna see more kickass monster art? How about a bestiary of old-school monsters?

I just launched a Kickstarter for 16 awesome pieces of monster art (which will be released CC-BY, so you can use them in your own projects, even commercially) by +Eric Quigley, plus a bestiary of monsters for D&D 1E, D&D 5E, and my MurderHobos system. If we hit stretch goals, you'll also get stats for Dungeon World and Dungeon Crawl Classics.

$10 PDF; $15 paperback + PDF.

I've already statted out all 16 creatures for MurderHobos, so creating the rest should be straightforward.
Brent P. Newhall is raising funds for Murderous Monsters Bestiary for Old School Tabletop RPGs on Kickstarter! Fund kickass art of classic tabletop fantasy monsters, both for an old-school bestiary and released for public use.

I've been waiting forever for the PC release of The Last of Us and it just doesn't seem to be coming. I finally broke down and watched it on youtube. I've never seen a playthrough vid like this. So good. I still wish i could've played this myself, but this was awesome. So much work has been put into reshaping this for a new medium.
I wish something like this had been done for Bioshock Infinite - skip the tedious fights and get to the good stuff. Anyone else have a game they would prefer to see this way?

Even if you're not into video games, i recommend you check this out - think of it as a post-apocalyptic tv miniseries.

So i just realized that Collections appear to be the "subscribe to" function that i've always wanted from G+. Correct me if i'm wrong, but if i make a collection public and then share to that collection, even people who are not in my circles can view it if it gets shared, but people who are not following that collection won't get notified about it. Nice.

Yeah, i see that, but it sucks. Best would be to allow me to control the initial subs just like i can control which circles i send my posts to.
I could add anyone i want but only people who already have me in circles will actually get the sub. For others it would appear on some kind of suggested collections page so they would have to opt-in before it started showing up in their feeds.

But if they just gave me the ability to unsub people from my collection i'd be happy.

I think i like everything about collections except for the lack of fine-grained control over the initial setup.

I recently got a new phone: the OnePlus One. I like it. It's an Android (Cyanogen 11S, based on Android 4.4) phone that works on AT&T's network (which means you can also use it with lots of other smaller carriers but not Verizon).

I had a smartphone before they were cool (Treo anyone?) and then decided i didn't really need one anymore. When i decided to pick one up again, this one seemed to be a good mix of features and affordability. If you just want a phone, this probably isn't for you. It's big, almost unwieldy, which makes it great for watching videos and reading and playing games, but not as good for quick one-handed use.

At any rate, it's still in limited production so the general public can only put in orders 1 day a week but if you absolutely positively cannot wait until Tuesday to order one, i have invites that will let you order one right now. Reply to this and i'll send one your way.

Also feel free to ask me any questions you might have.
OnePlus Tech aims to create the best Android smartphones of the market. Top components and attention to detail is what defines our products. No tradeoffs, we #NeverSettle.

Sadly, they have stopped shipping to Canada; otherwise, I might very well be interested. 8(

Few things are as painful and soul-sucking to hear as a PR person pimping a bad product.

If you place a wineglass before a speaker emitting waves at the vessel’s resonant frequency, it will vibrate, or even shatter. But resonant frequencies aren’t unique to stemware; every object has one (or, more often, several). Even googly eyes.

I feel kinda sorry for all the other action movies that are coming out this summer. They have to live in Mad Max's shadow.
