    Communications Program Manager, present
    I develop and disseminate key messages to inform citizens and help shape the perception of the City of Reno locally, regionally, and globally. In addition, I am the primary writer on the Communications and Community Engagement team. I employ various writing executions, including press releases, social media, web content, speech writing, strategic message development, and advertising. I also handle media relations and manage emergency and crisis communications.

    Managing Editor, 2007 - 2014
    I managed all the editorial in print and online for Nevada Magazine. I wrote articles and took photos, worked with freelance writers and photographers, distributed press releases, and edited all Nevada Magazine products, which included six 80-page issues a year, e-newsletters, and various special projects. In 2011 we produced a 191-page 75th-Anniversary Edition, and in 2013 we printed a special 150-page Historical Nevada book. I also created and managed all of our social media sites and blogs, including producing videos for our YouTube page. I co-hosted a weekly radio show, as well as appeared weekly on KRNV (Channel 4) in Reno via Google Hangout.
