The power of the Death Star is insignificant next to the power of The Force! :)

A most excellent analysis of the power required to obliterate a planet.

Could our research save commercial airlines billions? Yes, thanks to new green-related aeronautics technology, which could cut airline fuel use in half, pollution by 75 percent and noise to nearly one-eighth of today’s levels. More: http://go.nasa.gov/1INmpKQ

So, this "thing" happened the other day. A "thing" called "Help-Portrait". Actually, our "thing" is called "Help-Portrait Denton". It's a pretty cool "thing", too. We get to make photographs (SCORE!) of people in need (BONUS!) and give the photographs to the people (TEARS OF JOY!). How cool is that? From the main Help-Portrait organization, here's the official description: Help-Portrait ...

Can't wait for this thing to be assembled and operating! It's going to get some awesome views our our universe. :)

How do we make a 21.3-foot mirror for our NASA Webb Telescope? We install 18 mirror segments together! With the first installation already complete, this marks the beginning of a critical phase of the observatory’s construction. The full installation is expected to be complete early in 2016. The Sun's magnetism! :)

Arches of magnetic field lines towered over the sun’s edge as a pair of active regions began to rotate into view in this video captured by our Solar Dynamics Observatory. Details: http://go.nasa.gov/1SLlAQI

Introduction
Hi! I'm Matt. I make photographs. I love all sorts of photography--landscape, pets, wildlife. Some events. But my primary love is portraiture. Glamour, boudoir, dance, lifestyle/environmental. For me, photography is about delving into the personality, strength, vulnerability, and desires of the person in front of my lens and memorializing those traits in lovingly prepared photographs.

I've been going to Dr. Chowning for 15 years. He is personable and extremely skilled. Dr Chowning cares about his patients' wellbeing, and will even sacrifice business to ensure his patients have the best care. We had that discussion when it was time to finally remove my wisdom teeth. He gives solid advice on dental care, and keeps up with the latest advancements in the industry. The entire staff is abundantly friendly and more like a family, or a close-knit circle of friends. Even though they only see me every 6 months, they still remember me and the events in my life. My hygienist is skilled, observant, and has a great "bedside" manner; she's always cheerful in the office, and I would consider her a friend outside the office. My family has stayed with Dr. Chowning through his location changes, and through our own insurance changes. Even when he was out of network for a while, I felt he was absolutely worth (more than) what we were paying, and when the insurance company finally wised up and got him back in network, it's a complete no-brainer. As long as Dr. Chowning is practicing, my family will continue being his patients.
