Originally from Cambridgeshire, England, Matt Stone now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Over the years, Matt's career path has literally taken him many times around the world whilst working in casino and retail management both on land and on various cruise ships.

Working with many nationalities in very unique work environments Matt's communication skills broadened.  His ability for solving problems and thinking outside of the box evolved, giving Matt a greater entrepreneurial edge.

Being able to draw on these skills is how Matt has become part of a new breed of Real Estate Professional; his love of learning new things at a fast pace has made him an emerging talent in the New York Real Estate market.

In today’s world, new technology and social media is evolving at a phenomenal rate. For many people this dramatic change has overwhelmed them; this is not the case for Matt.

Matt’s personable nature, his thirst for knowledge and his motivational spirit has put him ahead of the curve; Matt is not 'trying to keep up', he is pushing through the crowds and taking the lead.  It's this embrace of the future and the quest for knowledge that are just some of the reasons Matt is called upon to help educate and develop companies on how to grow their business.

New Li-Ion Batteries Charge 70 Percent in 2 Minutes.
I just made a calendar note for 2016
A team of researchers in Singapore have developed a next generation lithium-ion battery that can recharge a battery to 70-percent in just two minutes. That means it would charge an entire electric car in just 15 minutes. And here's the kicker: it lasts over 20 years.

3 more weeks left. Then am thinking of backpacking the West Coast US, from San Francisco to San Diego. Anyone have any hikes worth doing?
Cassius Wright's profile photoMatt Stone's profile photo
Awesome recommendation +Cassius Wright I may just start in San Fran and walk East to join the trail. The reason for the trip is not just exercise and freedom, but also to explore 2 cities I could possibly start a new life. San Fran has been there for a while but more and more people are also saying San Diego. Would like Chicago, just want to ease the extreme of the Summers/Winters. I love NYC but both seasons can be a bit much

A Singles Event unlike any other. Come join us for a night of fun and learning at the newly opened Portland Science Center, located on the historic waterfront in Old Port, Portland. Ticket price includes, entry to Portland Science Center, light refreshments and after party Rí Rá Portland specials.

Have you been to Singles Nights at other places and found yourself trapped in a small area talking to the same few people that limit your potential to find 'the right one', or has it been on the other side of the spectrum; you're there, a little nervous about approaching someone as you're not so sure on how to break the ice. Maybe the place the event was held wasn't your typical scene so you found it hard to truly be yourself. Let Portland Science Center and CARA Matchmaking fix that for you.

There are two parts to the Singles Night. From 6pm-8pm you will enjoy the surroundings of Portland Science Centers Premier Exhibition: BODY WORLDS. This world famous exhibition is the first of its kind to educate guests about anatomy, physiology, and health by viewing real human bodies. It's a fascinating show, creatively displayed and has endless opportunities for 'ice-breakers' and 'gap-fillers'. There will be light refreshments served at the beginning and end of the exhibition.

From 8pm onwards you will step next door to Rí Rá for a night of drinks and entertainment. For those of you who have not yet been to Rí Rá; imagine yourself walking through a door that leads you back in time to the peaceful and cozy atmosphere of a traditional pub 100 hundred years ago in Ireland. This humble and entertaining pub offers plenty of choice that will suit everyones taste. Starting at 10pm, Kilcollins will be turning up the fun-dial with some lively classics that will have everyone singing and dancing along.

Singles Night is bought to you by Portland Science Center & CARA Matchmaking. Whilst we expect the larger percentage of singles to be 30-50 years of age, we only have a couple of restrictions. First, you have to be 21 or over and secondly, you come to have fun! We are expecting a large turnout. Ticket sales will stop once we are near capacity.

Please contact or call 347-985-0215 for more information.

Cara, after the Gaelic word for beloved companion, practices the traditional art of matchmaking. Cara is not an online dating service, a series of personal ads, or a fad formula for compatibility; it is a real person who understands the subtleties and nuances of compatibility and chemistry. At Cara, you're more than a profile and a set of pictures. To learn more about CARA Matchmaking visit

Whist the East End/Munjoy Hill is often referred to as the 'hippest' part of town, there's a lack of nightlife, compared with the rest of Portland. The Snug is diamond in the rough. A real locals bar, that's nothing fancy, just... friendly. It's the kind of place you can go by yourself and have great conversations with complete strangers. They have 12 taps on draft, with a nice mix; many of them local. The wine and spirits selection is your typical mix. The bar staff are awesome. Some nights Kiki is tending bar, very friendly, earthy and chill. Other nights, Michelle tends bar; winner of pretty much every award for Best Bartender in Portland for the last 7 years. She's brash, in your face, hilarious and not for the timid, though she's aware, so if she see's you're uncomfortable, she'll likely give you a break... or just turn it up! There's no food here, but OTTO Pizza is next door, so you can grab a slice and bring it to the bar. Music is chill, and varied. The Snug has an old school vibe. It's low light, fairly long bar, and small nooks makes it varied, but warm and inviting. It's always open until 1am, unlike other bars in Portland that close early if they're not so busy. Reason may be that it's also a service industry bar. If you go in early and stay late, you'll see waves of people coming in all through the night. Whilst there is little competition on Munjoy Hill, it would still hold it's own if there were more options in the area.

Being originally from England, I've seen my fair share of historic homes. Been in Portland nearly 2 years and this is my first time here. It was better than I hoped. Beautiful restorations. Mostly all original pieces. The staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend Victoria Mansion as a place to see.

I work close by, and every now and then I stop by to see what's new. There's always a nice rotation of great art. The selection is also growing. They had some furniture in there a short while ago and now they have a very affordable jewelry collection. Jen, the owner, obviously loves what she does. She has always been very helpful and knowledgable, without being pushy. With Portland being so creative, Casco Bay Artisans is a welcome addition.

So many pool tables. Well kept. Also has table tennis, arcade machines, darts, good selection of beer on tap, price is per table ($5 - $8 per hour), hardly ever a wait for tables. Friendly staff. Food is burgers, fried food and small salad options.

Yep, it's a bridge. A good looking one at that. Lots of tourists. I had the best pizza in my life at a restaurant just off the exit to this bridge. Not sure which side now, but it fizzled on my tongue and made me cry. I know this review is all about the bridge, but seriously, the pizza was that awesome!
