Originally from Cambridgeshire, England, Matt Stone now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
Over the years, Matt's career path has literally taken him many times around the world whilst working in casino and retail management both on land and on various cruise ships.

Have you been to Singles Nights at other places and found yourself trapped in a small area talking to the same few people that limit your potential to find 'the right one', or has it been on the other side of the spectrum; you're there, a little nervous about approaching someone as you're not so sure on how to break the ice. Maybe the place the event was held wasn't your typical scene so you found it hard to truly be yourself. Let Portland Science Center and CARA Matchmaking fix that for you.
There are two parts to the Singles Night. From 6pm-8pm you will enjoy the surroundings of Portland Science Centers Premier Exhibition: BODY WORLDS. This world famous exhibition is the first of its kind to educate guests about anatomy, physiology, and health by viewing real human bodies. It's a fascinating show, creatively displayed and has endless opportunities for 'ice-breakers' and 'gap-fillers'. There will be light refreshments served at the beginning and end of the exhibition.
From 8pm onwards you will step next door to Rí Rá for a night of drinks and entertainment. For those of you who have not yet been to Rí Rá; imagine yourself walking through a door that leads you back in time to the peaceful and cozy atmosphere of a traditional pub 100 hundred years ago in Ireland. This humble and entertaining pub offers plenty of choice that will suit everyones taste. Starting at 10pm, Kilcollins will be turning up the fun-dial with some lively classics that will have everyone singing and dancing along.
Singles Night is bought to you by Portland Science Center & CARA Matchmaking. Whilst we expect the larger percentage of singles to be 30-50 years of age, we only have a couple of restrictions. First, you have to be 21 or over and secondly, you come to have fun! We are expecting a large turnout. Ticket sales will stop once we are near capacity.
