+Mary Branscombe on the new Microsoft's obsession with using data to measure and encourage actual usage. She also has a pretty good idea what happened to former IE leader Dean Hachamovich.

Story
Tagline
Editorial Director of CITEworld, a new IDG Enterprise publication
Introduction
I run CITEworld, a new IDG Enterprise site about consumer technology in the workplace.

Most recently, I worked at Business Insider, where I established the San Francisco bureau and enterprise technology coverage and helped define strategy for the BI Intelligence research service.

Prior to that, I worked for 10 years as an analyst for Directions on Microsoft and blogged about digital music for CBS Interactive. I started in tech journalism at CNET.com in 1995.

I also play bass. Less now that I have kids.

Stumbled into this place after walking out of another joint down on the main tourist drag, and was very impressed -- food is legitimate, spicy if you want it. Only drawback is no liquor license, but if you walk to the Kona Brewpub in the next parking lot, you can bring a growler over and they will chill glasses for you. Very nice people and great food.
