Do it! I'm one of the runner-fundraisers!

Happy #GivingTuesday! Want to give the gift of mentorship to Guatemalan kids?

Connect kids to life-changing mentors by contributing through any one of our runner-fundraisers! Our goal is to raise $1,000 by midnight. Can we do it?!

Sadly, even children aren't immune to being demanded and supplied. Considering international adoption? Great, but do your homework first.

Very cool. Don't doubt your potential.

You'll never guess what one kid said to his mentor after one year of meeting once a week. Find out in this great column about the value of #mentoring in young child's life.

Check out and follow the nonprofit I work for! By using soccer, we connect Guatemalan youth with life-changing mentors.

I love this story. Exceptional feature writing, and it speaks to the head and the heart. Way to go, Jessica.

If you read one thing today, read this column about how we tend to only pay attention to the news and commentary that fits our own ideologies. Even our Twitter feeds are curated such that we generally see only the people who agree with us. The resultant us-versus-them mentality that has, at the moment, paralyzed our federal government. We're our own victims.

"More often than not, when we tune in to cable or fire up the Web, we are staring into the mirror, not looking out a window. If we did look out a window, we’d see government officials talking past and around one another as they all fall down a flight of stairs, perhaps a perfect reflection of the people they represent."
