Now that the Fitbit iOS app can track my steps using the built-in M7 chip, I've stopped carrying my Fitbit Ultra. And that's a warning sign for the emerging wearables category.

If you read the fine print on the Xbox One, nearly everything cool requires a $60 per year Xbox Live Gold subscription. That makes it tough to recommend for casual gamers that don't game online.

Google TV may not officially be dead, but it sure looks like it's evolving into something else.

Hisense is showing a nifty little set top box at CES 2014 called the Pulse Pro, running software called "Android TV v4". It's not exactly Google TV, but it's clearly built on the same foundation, with the same PrimeTime Guide and the ability to run Google TV apps.

The Hisense Pulse Pro runs "Android TV" software and sports a refreshed user interface and an impressive remote.

The Xbox One's TV integration can feel magical when it works and completely frustrating when it doesn't, which is all too often.

I finally got the chance to spend some quality time with an OLED TV, the next generation of flat-panel TV technology after plasma and LED LCD. But it isn't flat. And that isn't even the best part.

The best part is that it produces the best TV picture I've ever seen.
The Samsung KN55S9C is the second 55-inch curved OLED TV available for sale in the United States, but the first we've tested at CNET. And yes, it's the best display we've ever seen. Read the full review.

My review of the Google Chromcast. Yes, it's cheap, but it's also pretty limited at the moment.
Google's $35 Chromecast streaming-TV dongle is certainly cheap, but its limited initial app support and total reliance on mobile devices keep it well behind competitors.

Thank you!

Yes, you can control playback from a PC, although you can't truly get high-quality Netflix and YouTube using it as a controller. (It relies on mirroring, which results in subpar quality.)

I'm excited to see how the Chromecast improves too. If lots of app developers add support quickly, the Chromecast could be a really interesting device.
