Galaxy Quest was so much fun -- we've actually made it a tradition to watch it while taking down the XMas tree each year.  While we still procrastinate, at least we enjoy ourselves while bringing it down now. :-)

Hmmm.... another mistake in the article:  They claim a stove-top percolator wouldn't work.  In fact a stove-top perc would work even better and simpler as you wouldn't have to keep cycling the water and resetting the coffee maker (though it may not remove quite the same amount of arsenic as you would if you used fresh in the coffee maker each cycle).  I'm going to have to try this, though my old stove-top perc isn't very big and will probably only make one serving at a time....  (and many stove-top percs are even smaller than the one I have).

Fantastic, though brief look at the 90s tech boom and bust.

Photographer Doug Menuez chronicled the giants of Silicon Valley during the late '80s and '90s.

Totally not a flag of racism, right?
Despicable I kid you not, it feels like we are going back in time in America. In an Atlanta suburb this past weekend, Melissa Alford (a black woman) and her ...

Shows that the people who support the confederate flag can be even more offensive than the flag itself. (Not like there was any doubt, though.)

The singularity is here.
The Chicago rapper made a virtual appearance at a music festival outside of Chicago, but the authorities shut it down.

I haven't read the article, yet, but, given recent events, I suspect that "I don't like his music" might be sufficient justification for just about anything depending on the identities behind "I" and "his", +Joel Webber.  :-/

What a wonderful gift to allow the few who have been to see it again is such a way. How exciting for the millions who wish we could see what the astronauts saw.
