To my Real Estate friends:

I could not be more disappointed with Upswing, their employees and their management. I'll start by saying that I entered into the process excited about the opportunity and also curious how they could deliver on the promises they make. Their ISA platform seemed to good to be true and it was.

I'm a real estate agent and had seen some post on Facebook about their guaranteed appointment program. Essentially you pay an upfront cost and they assign a virtual assistant to make cold calls to your selected group of potential clients. The cost per appointment is low and I wasn't expecting a premium service but what I received was an abysmal experience only made worse by the run around I was given by management.

First off let me say that there is not a single person at this company who has a clue. Everyone seems to be an entry-level employee who has no idea how to deal with any bumps in the road. After being assigned to a virtual assistant who was so inept at their job they couldn't even properly enter data into a spreadsheet, I realized the huge mistake I had made.

Of course, every company breaks eggs but what truly distinguishes professionals from the rest is their ability to pick up the pieces and fix the problem. This is where Upswing truly fails their clients. After being passed around from their "production manager" in the Philippines, I was then transferred to Yosef, who's ability to solve problems was on par with a college intern. After a few back and forth emails with Yosef, I finally came to the desk of Michael.

Michael is extra special. He assured me that this was not the case with 99% of their clients and begged me to give them one more chance. He also told me that he would be my personal liaison and that I would have access to him whenever there was a problem. After listening to his spiel and allowing him to create empathy, I decided to give them one more chance to place me with the correct virtual assistant. Michael put me back in contact with the production manager in the Philippines and she assured me that I would receive a noon phone call on Monday. At this point I'm really the one who deserves to get a punch in the face. Why I continue to believe that this company could deliver on the promises they make just shows that I'm obviously way too trusting.

I made sure my schedule was clear Monday at noon and lo and behold there was no phone call. I reached out to the production manager and she assured me that this never happens. Even though variations of this had happen to me multiple times in this 30 day fiasco with Upswing. I called Michael. He apologized and agreed that all trust have been eroded and that he would begin the process of getting me a full refund.

He also stated that he would call me back with the status of that and here we are, close to two weeks later, and I've been unable to reach Michael or get him on the phone. At this point, I'm assuming my investment is a total loss but I will not sit by and allow others to be taken advantage of by a company that doesn't even have the ability to return phone calls when part of their value proposition is that they can make phone calls for you!

Save yourself the time. Block their cheerleaders on Facebook, ignore their marketing and do literally anything else with your money.
