$#%!@ you all!!!!

Seriously, I dont necessarily disagree with this.  I am all for free speech, however sometimes it is really filthy.  I cant imagine our founding fathers figuring cursing so much into free speech.

Some folks will say it violates the First Amendment.  I disagree and here is why.

This is a town of citizens who want something to stop.  They voted on the cursing fine.

Here is the Text of the first amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Now lets break it down:  "_or abridging the freedom of speech_"

Abridge - To shorten - curtail - abbreviate - reduce - condense

So Congress did not enact this, and the citizens are not prohibiting cursing, just charging a fine.

We all have to share public space and if the majority of the public is being disrupted by constant cursing, is it ok to want this stopped? Is charging a nominal fine to curtail disruption of public space bad, against the constitution?  Let me know what you all think
