I love helping my clients meet their goals.
Introduction
I am a business and regulatory lawyer. My practice involves a variety of transactional and compliance matters, with an emphasis on the banking and financial sectors, though I handle a wide range of matters for businesses of various sizes and in various industries, as well as some governmental entities.

My firm, Ward and Smith, P.A., is a full-service law firm providing excellent, client-focused service in nearly every area of civil law.  With almost 100 attorneys in five cities across North Carolina, we meet clients' needs effectively and efficiently through a teamwork-oriented approach.

I enjoy blogging about business law, banking law, and privacy law, and serving my communities.

Spiffy gave my car a fairly good cleaning, which I appreciate, but my credit card was over-charged, and I spent so much time getting it corrected that I might as well have cleaned the car myself. It also took longer than I was told it would, causing me to miss a lunch. This is a good concept, but they need to work out the kinks and improve the customer service experience. Approving a partial refund of an erroneous charge should be immediate and simple, not a back-and-forth with a CSR putting the customer on hold while relaying messages between the customer and a manager. The entire business model is built around customer convenience, so they really need to be more responsive when they make an error. I cannot recommend this service at this time.

I've found my new optometrist. Scheduling was easy, and the wait time was reasonable. The location is convenient. The front office staff is very service-oriented, and the professionals were very pleasant and did a great job of explaining in layman's terms. Dr. Said strikes a good balance of professionalism and personal touch, and Rae (the manager) is efficient and insightful. (Caroline, the optometry school intern, was excellent as well.)
