Great sets of pictures showing how some of the world's major cities have changed over the last few decades. The Chinese ones are crazy considering the timescale.

Just watched this mini movie. It's poetic and charming so wanted to share it --StreetView meets Toy Story. Incredibly heartwarming to see the magical way people around the world are inspired by Google products.

An article on how it was made:

Find it really interesting that while Twitter and Facebook are full of people talking about the rioting across the UK not a single person I follow on G+ has mentioned it. Any thoughts on why that might be?

I agree it's rather quiet, especially at the local level, but it's still really early days. I'm under no illusions that G+ is anything like as popular or active as Facebook or Twitter just yet, but I'm sticking with it in the belief that things will get better as time goes on and more people get on here.

I've barely used either Facebook or Twitter since I started using G+, not as some kind of challenge, but simply because there's enough to keep me interested on here; and while undoubtedly I'm missing out on stuff that's going on over there, I'm quite enjoying the more sedate pace of life here in the meantime!

Arrgghh, really wish Google+ would stop telling me five separate times between my PC and phone when someone has commented on a post or added me to a circle.

You try being an admin for Zatchels, before I turned notifications off I was getting a couple of hundred emails from facebook about new comments.

Had a little stroll in the sunshine around Kenilworth Castle this afternoon. Very nice. Will be going back when it is open to have another look and also to check out the fine looking pub across the street.

Amused by this study saying IE users have a lower IQ

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14370878

The findings have been treated with scepticism by Professor David Spiegelhalter of Cambridge University's Statistical Laboratory: "They've got IE6 users with an IQ of around eighty. That's borderline deficient, marginally able to cope with the adult world."

To be honest "borderline deficient" sounds about right to me for IE6 users

This has to have been orchestrated by an angry web developer

Someone told me today that on the main walk into Bankok airport there is a huge Leicester city sign and shirts for sale, that's got to be generating some valuable revenue

I have eaten at Kayal four or five times and never been disappointed. Their seafood dishes are particularly great, the Kayal Fish Curry is one of the best curries I've ever eaten. If you live in Leicester and haven't been to Kayal then you're missing out. It gets really busy on most nights so I'd advise booking
