New www.326.co.nz site is up. Boom! This is how you design a site with no nav, and no footer. Simple web designed by Sam Trustrum

Getting to Our Place - Branding Te Papa
Saw this fascinating doco last week. Painful to watch at times (Saatchi's selling in some of the concepts) but ultimately rewarding story. Recommended to anyone with an interest in NZ design history: http://www.nzonscreen.com/title/getting-to-our-place-1999

Wow, didn't realise Gehry was in the early running for Te Papa. Sadly typical of NZ small mindedness when it comes to public works - we could've had a big shiny building! See it in the board members comments too "looks like a woolshed stencil". Think Cheeseman & Bradley got the right logo in the end though.

OMG not another Google+ meta post on Google+. Risk of imploding - here's a picture of some dogs in a futile attempt to change the conversation trajectory:

It is indeed. Much nicer than the way Facebook handles photos. Comments down the side are more user friendly too. Trust that you're all good Mr Duncan?

Boris Johnson & David Cameron have also experienced the joys of trashing a place. Paying the damages afterwards makes it okay though...
http://iconicphotos.wordpress.com/2010/03/14/the-bullingdon-club

Andrew Gimson, biographer of Boris Johnson, reported about the club in the 1980s: "I don't think an evening would have ended without a restaurant being trashed and being paid for in full, very often in cash. [...] A night in the cells would be regarded as being par for a Buller man and so would debagging anyone who really attracted the irritation of the Buller men." via Wikipedia

Over on Facebook I've got friends reminiscing about one of our cute old school buses. Here on Google+ is a heated (but sometimes hilarious) debate about global warming skepticism. That, folks, sums up the difference between the two networks for me right now.

Ford has designed two modern remakes of the 1973 Ford XB Falcon to celebrate the fourth edition of the classic Australian action movie, Mad Max. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/motoring/news/article.cfm?c_id=9&objectid=10737820
