- John 10:36Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
36 then are you telling the one whom the Father set apart as holy and sent into the world, ‘You are committing blasphemy,’ just because I said, ‘I am a son of Elohim’?Apr 10, 2015
- You are quoting "John".
Quote Jesus' words.
John was not authorized by God Almighty to guide people. Jesus was authorized messenger to show the right path to his people and he only had the communication with God Almighty. How can John be trusted?Apr 11, 2015
- OK, Matinuddin, because you won't give me Quar'anic addresses for your own statements about Allah saying the Bible is corrupted, I'll help out Nickyg.
BTW, I know that they do NOT exist. Your expert was quoting Islamic tradition NOT the Qur'an.
The article I sent you, near the beginning of our conversation, included links to Muslim experts on the Qur'an's command to read the Bible. Those Qur'anic commands were written long after the texts that would have been available to Mohammed if he could have read.
The texts available to him are not nearly as old as the ones recently found for both the Old and New Covenants.
Archeologists, some Muslim, document that these oldest texts now available are almost identical to those that were available to Muhammed as well as those that were used to put the original King James Version into English.
Here's just a few of the hate-filled, violent verses in the Islamic Quran, like the one Nickyg quoted re the Jews.
For those following along without comment, I'll mention that my friends and I have found over 100 of these.
You and others can read them in context on a prominent Muslim site for:
Koran 5:33 @ http://quran.com/5/33,
K. 8:12 @ http://quran.com/8/12,
K. 9:5 @ http://quran.com/9/5,
K. 9:29 @ http://quran.com/9/29 and
K. 47:4 @ http://quran.com/47/4 .
The translation from the Arabic, which is also available at the links, if you can read it, is done by Muslims, I assume, because it is a Muslim site.
Each one of the above verses is certified as still applicable for Muslims today by the Islamic Schools of Jurisprudence for every Islamic sect.Apr 11, 2015
- Jesus himself didn’t write, John was his disciple John had the authorization of Jesus and God as well, God gave John visions of heaven and things that will be in a near future, as you can read in the book of revelations, So yes he was authorized by God.Apr 11, 2015
- Where and when did God Almighty said about John that he is authorized to speak the word of God Almighty after Jesus and that people should accept the words of John.
You are imagining to be so about John and so others did.Apr 11, 2015
- You have the same problem, like others, of not reading the Quranic verses in the context and back ground of the revelation of the particular verses you are raising the question.
You are picking the verse separately out of the chapter it belongs to and you are reading.
Read a particular verse along with verses before and after it and if required from the beginning of the particular chapter so that the back ground and context of the verse becomes clear.
Now come to the word "killing" occurring in the Quran.
First of all, Quran is the word of Almighty God who is your Lord and my Lord. Quran is not any Muslim scholar's word.
Your saying that there is written in the Quran to "kill Jews wherever Muslims find them", is totally wrong and baseless. You are Also God Almighty's creature and He loves you also, so, He wont command like that.
God Almighty has given verses of fighting and warring and not exactly "killing", as you think, with those who are enemy of God Almighty and not the "the enemy of Muslims", as you think, or who are against Almighty God. But He has also along with that imposed some condition when to fight and when to stop and when to have truce or peace. You can find all these if you read the entire chapter, but you will miss the point of conditions if you selectively pick the verse and read it.
If you want to understand a verse read it's entire chapter. Every verse belongs to a chapter.
God Almighty wont permit any one (including Muslims) to fight or kill others (including Jews) without a reason.
Your entire references are selectively chosen and picked.
You have a wrong approach towards understanding the message of Almighty God given in the Quran.
This will only lead to misunderstanding.Apr 12, 2015
