Breakdown of US war spending since 9/11/2001:

- $1.6 trillion total or:
- $337 million per day or:
- $14 million per hour or:
- $250,000 per minute

That could fund a new a startup every minute.

It's interesting to find movie makers using a torrent page of one of their own movies on TPB, to talk about the movie in question and the production/distribution issues related to it.

I am not always allowed in the fancy cocktail clubs, but at least I have the decency to wear my flippy-floppies when I'm on a boat.

If this whole code hosting thing doesn't work out, I think GitHub totally has a future in cartoons.  I could definitely see a video game as well, maybe a la Sonic the Hedgehog.

Matt Taibbi is one of the few reporters that actually digs in to the outrageous, criminal behavior of big banks as they caused serious damage to the world economy. This article about a brave whistleblower named Alayne Fleischmann will make you very angry.

I also recommend Matt's books. I just finished reading Griftopia: Bubble Machines, Vampire Squids, and the Long Con That Is Breaking America, which is longer and will also make you angry:

Meet Alayne Fleischmann, the woman JPMorgan Chase paid one of the largest fines in American history to keep from talking.

If you still don't know how docker could be of any use to you, here's a little story:
Posts. Why containers are the shit. As of today (2014/12/16), you have probably all heard of the containers rage, and about docker in particular. In the Camlistore project, we have been using docker for a while, and I have come to appreciate why it is useful and convenient.

I should probably add some spacing in between posts and some sort of emphasis on the posts titles.

I hadn't realized how convenient something like MyTracks is when you're making your way back in the dark, on woody slopes, on unmarked forest trails...
