I stopped celebrating St. Patrick's Day many years ago without a real reason. This morning I decided to do some research and find out what the holiday is really about. Turns out, I was right to stop celebrating all those years ago. There is nothing about St. Patrick's Day that connects with me - like most holidays observed in this country these days.
Which leads to me wonder further: how many people out there really know what St. Patrick's Day is about? Or do they just think it is about parades, green and drinking?
