Really expensive work! Come in for one thing and 8 things "NEED TO BE REPLACED". While the car was there overnight, my wheels were stolen and the car was broken into. They were not responsible. Quote on quote. Wish I went somewhere else. And if you refer to these reviews most people should go somewhere else. Unless you are oblivious to cars and like to give your money away. Never is it IN & OUT. Oil changes take over an hour. ****UPDATE****** INCORRECT DEALERSHIP! SORRY MASTERTECH!

Double checked, and we have never had any vandalism or theft from the parking lot overnight. I can't find your name in our customer database, which is strange as that is the first thing we do when checking in a vehicle. Thanks

We use MasterTech for some of the work we have done on our cars at DriveTime. So far they have done a great job. They always complete the cars in a timely fashion and are always very considerate and honest.

Mixed reviews on this one. On my first experience with Mastertech, I brought my truck in for an alignment. The staff was cordial and professional, shop was clean and the the work was done promptly with no pressure or 'up-sell'. I started to leave the shop happy when I heard a major 'bang' from my front wheel well. After pulling over to investigate, I discovered the mechanic had left a socket on my truck which fell out when driving, hit my tire and was thrown up into the wheel well. I brought the socket back to the shop and described the issue and was told by the manager, "Thanks....our mechanic would have missed that". No apologies or other concern for damage, etc. but I was not too worried about it at the time and left. On my second experience with them, I had a problem with my second vehicle that another mechanic could not fix so I took it to Mastertech. Like my first experience, the team was professional, quickly diagnosed the problem and had an estimate. $800 for a intake manifold gasket but if it fixed the problem, I was glad to pay it. The next day the vehicle was ready, the team was still professional and I departed. About three miles away from the shop, the truck engine started chattering. We called the shop about the issue and they spent plenty of time on the phone with us describing some possible issues and for us to bring it back and they would be happy to look at it. Took the truck back the next day and left it overnight. The next morning got a call that they did not hear the issue and could I come back to help them locate it. Drove over on my lunch hour and was able to immediately have them hear the issue. They said they would look at it as I left and within 30 minutes had a call that they found the problem and fixed it. It was a loose EGR line that was not completely tightened when they instlaled the new intake gasket. Had to drive back after work to pick up the truck and the repair seemed to have fixed the issue. Since it was their fault, there was no charge involved and I was impressed with their honesty. They could have easily made up a charge for a bogus repair and not admitted it was their fault. I chose the shop due to their positive on-line reviews even though they were several miles out of my way. The three trips back and forth to their shop with two vehichels at times (one to drop off and one to leave in) set me back about three hours and $25 in gas. They apologized but I was out the time and money for their error. Summary - Good shop but they need to double check their work. Slow down a bit guys and inspect what you do. They could have found the left over socket if they did a visual inspection and the air leak if they did a 15 minute test drive after the repair was done. That would of saved a lot of time and headache. It was a 10 minute repair for them but a lot of time, stress (not knowing what was wrong with my car) and expense for me.

I recently had my Check Engine light come up for my Honda Pilot. I had made an appointment with my dealer but was scared that I might be charged for unrelated stuff. I went to Auto Zone for free reading and it was showing EGA and misfiring in all cylinders. Instead of going to the dealer I thought of trying out Mastertech as I had seen great reviews for it and I had one prior good experience also. They said they will be able to look at it and fix it, so I cancelled my dealers appointment. They took the reading, monitored the car and found no issue. They said they will reset the reading and If I experience the problem I should get it back in the shop. They did not charge anything. So far all looks good. I am very impressed by their honesty and unlike other shops they do not try pressure tactics and charge for things that are not required. I normally take for my car for servicing to the dealer due to convenience and proximity to my work but now I am thinking what is the best way to give Mastertech my business. It might be worth some inconvenience on my part to give my business to these guys. Good work should always be appreciated. Good work never gets unnoticed. Please keep up the good work.

BEWARE! Groupon "4-wheel Alignment" deal is ONLY to get you in the door. Once they knew I had the Groupon and they had three cars in front of mine with 3 hours left on a Saturday..."the car can't get done today". Because I replaced parts myself, they knew there was no other money to make off of me. I replaced my Front Lower Control Arms and Inner and Outer Tie Rods on my Infiniti G35, SO I HAD to get an alignment that day for a Roadtrip. Well they close at 2pm on Saturday and he said "come back Monday.... You can get your money back from Groupon." Wow! Thanks for wanting my business. Usually companies using Groupon are seeking business because of the lack of. NOTORIOUS FOR RIPPING THE WEALTHY IN PLANO!

Sorry we couldn't fit you in. Sometimes we do fill up, especially on Saturdays. If you still need the alignment, call first, ask for Bill and we can get you in and out as fast as possible. Thanks.

My son took his car to Master tech for a simple state inspection. We left the car and went to run an errand, and we were called by MasterTech short time later and told the car did not pass inspection but that they could not tell us why the car failed. We asked how do we resolve the problem and they said they didn't know nor could they tell us how what needed to fixed on the car for it to pass inspection. They just said drive it around and maybe it'll pass the next time. This is ridiculous...the car fails inspection and you are authorized to perform inspections by the state but you can't give us a specific reason for the failure? They also have an annoying habit of trying to make you think they are doing you YOU a favor at this shop when really you are already PAYING for whatever service they are performing. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. THEY ARE NOT HELPFUL and DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH!!!!

There is not a problem Wayne and Jerry can't fix. The best in the business. My entire family has been coming to them for years and will continue as long as they are there. Thanks for everything! A++
