I loved using Tone. So easy to share webpages with my class. But, lately my Google Tone has stopped working. It does not receive and when I try to send, it doesn't send the tone and the speaker icon turns red. My Chrome browser is up-to-date. Any ideas how to get it to work?

We are a 5th grade class in California that is beginning a PBL unit on water. We are in the 5th year of drought, and would like to connect with a class in a different region or different country that also has water concerns/issues - flooding, scarcity, cleanliness. While we would like to communicate through Google Drive, a Hangout somewhere along the line would be great as well. Our parents are willing to have students participate outside our normal school hours so working with a class a half a world away is welcomed :-)

In general, technology in the classroom is no longer a novelty, and solid pedagogy trumps those lists of “cool tools.” Yet time and time again, conference presenters lure in attendees by fixating entirely on apps, tech toys, or anything else hot on the market or App Store. We can do better. While all

An informal get-together to share stories of how the school year is going and to trade a tip or two along the way. Add a comment to let us know you'll be there.

Thanks, Google, for supporting the local observatory. So happy they will continue to be able to be a teaching and research facility for the Silicon Valley area.
Google's $1 million gift will help fund day-to-day operations at San Jose's historic Lick Observatory, perched on the 4,200-foot summit of Mount Hamilton and the only observatory in the UC system where students can design and build their own astronomy projects.

Introduction
I grew up in Buffalo, NY. While at SUNYAB, I met Denis, my husband of 40 years. We have a wonderful daughter, Colleen, who now lives and works in NYC. We  have lived in interesting places and have made wonderful friends along the way. I began working in HR, taught third grade at Alta Vista School in Los Gatos, CA for ten years, and will now help spread my love for infusing technology into classroom curriculum by working as a Instructional Technology ToSA.

Leave Your Electronic Devices at Home This is the fourth time we've stayed here, so they must be doing something right. We love the living space and the proximity to the trail. The kitchen has everything we need to make great dinners with the local produce we pick up. There are wine tastings from local vineyards which often include great information. Because we live so close to Napa and go for a week each year, we bring along our laptops with the hopes of catching up on all our social media sites and making a Skype call or two and reading eBooks. While RiverPointe says that the wifi is included in the daily resort fee, they then require you to REPEATEDLY sign in through AdSpots. And then, the internet was so slow, our calls and websites were REPEATEDLY dropped. They said we would have to sign in every 20 minutes, it was more like 5, and in addition, every 15 minutes or so, the whole thing would drop. If they are going to charge for internet as part of the resort fee, guest shouldn't be subjected to these annoying ads. Too bad that colored our experience. If this had been the first time we stayed at RiverPointe, we might not make it back again. Instead, we will remember to bring paperbacks to keep us entertained next time.

We ordered the seafood cheesecake appetizer and the Sierra Tostada with pan seared ahi with Asian slaw served on wontons. There were a number of interesting items on the menu, but for our main, we had the elk. We weren't asked how we would like it cooked, but figured the chef knew best. It was delivered to our table in the rare side, which I loved. It was tender and flavorful. It was preceded by a house salad, and came accompanied by roast potatoes and squash, and green beans. Nepele's has a nice local wine list - we saw a good selection of bottles under $30. Since many places charge a $20 corkage fee, I'd suggest leaving your bottle at home and try something new.

I called Trillium based on the Google Reviews. I'd tried someone else last time I sent flowers to my mom in Getzville and it was a disaster. I requested fewer flowers with a more artistic design. I also told them the occasion - a memory of my parent's 67th wedding anniversary. My mom phoned saying she had never seen a more beautiful and tasteful arrangement. Thank you so much! It is so nice to have a place to phone from California and trust they will do a great job.

I'm in California and ordered autumn flowers to be sent to my mom in Getzville. I thought I paid a fair price but my mom got a bunch of low-cost flowers in a vase with a bow that didn't match. When she phoned to complain, she was told she could bring in the arrangement and they would fix it. Really - did they really expect a 87 year old woman would do that?
