Summer. School's out. Coming out of retirement for a semester, winter 2015, to teach at Lakeview Middle School in PVUSD, I met some great kids and wonderful new friends/teaching colleagues. An honor and great fun to teach in Betty Geesman's amazing Mac lab for a semester. Smart board, overhead, large format color printer, cameras, every student has a Chromebook, all the latest Google apps for a paperless Google school, including Google Classroom. PVUSD Tech is innovative. So exciting to be part of that for a semester. Wow. Times have changed! But some things never change. I'm glad Common Core is taking us back to project based learning. And there's much revision still needed in edu. For one thing, our kids need to reconnect with nature.

But for now I leave educational reform to others. My editor has returned my manuscript and I'm back to revising. Volume 1 of Fruit of the Devil is now complete at about 100,000 words. Onward to Volume 2. You can find out more about my novel at
