The #BRIOUGHNUT  from Confexion Cupcakes (Not to be confused with the #cronut  )

Hybrid of a brioche and a donut.  Seems to take donuts to an entirely different level of awesome sauce. Will reserve judgement until I get a #cronut  in my mouth.

Roy Choi showing us some love at Sunny Spot in Venice...

Family brunching. Great vibe and some really good mofongo.  I think the bottomless mimosas and blood marys were enough to have me coming back for more.

Fried Chicken courtesy of Ridiculous Hungry

It was a simple & easy fried chicken recipe. I was looking for something that wouldn't require overnight marination. Never thought that yogurt would inject so much flavor.

There's a place in Brooklyn that has a square nutella cronut with bacon on it called the "Squat". This intrigues me.

A couple of SoCal food finds that I discovered in the OC over the weekend.

Rance's Chicago Pizza
If you are in the mood for a slice of legit Chicago pizza you must try this place.  Excellent crust and fresh toppings. http://www.rancespizza.com/the-location/

Confetti Italian Ice & Custard
Surprise, surprise it's Asian owned.  Not totally into the whole shaved ice thing, but this place has a huge flavor menu for both the ice and the custards.

Enjoyed a very satisfying slice of pizza. Here you will find legit Chicago style pizza and a nice selection of craft brews. Not over priced or over hyped.

Excellent beer menu and the food is good and better than other gastropub places that i've tried with similar menus. I recommend the "black label" burger.

Fast, inexpensive, and great Korean BBQ. This is a Korean BBQ hidden gem in Burbank. The place looks really tiny when you first walk in, but they actually have a moderate size dining area towards the back. Good size food portions, probably enough for two to share or leftovers for lunch the next day. So far, I love their Spicy Pork and the Kalbi. The menu is simple, but has all of the usual favorites. Next time, I would probably order for pick up. The street parking there is not ideal, and is crowded come lunch time.

Based on a *2nd visit* (1st being pretty much non-existent due to it being closed) to Bizzara Capital, I give this place a huge thumbs up for it's delicious authentic food. It was totally WORTH IT to come here a 2nd time and give it a try. Chef Ricardo Diaz does wonders with the menu. What we had:Mole Fries - mole lovers will love this dish (note if you don't like mole this won't change your opinion, but it's damn good if you're a fan)Cecina Y Enchilada Huastecas - different type of texture as he uses an aged meat, but it perfectly seasoned-the marinade has a nice blend of spices.Costillitas - These Pork short ribs were so very tender it falls off the bone very tasty with his verde sauceCalabacitas - Bright home style dish; zucchini sauteed with diced onions, tomatoes, corn and melted cheeseThe amibiance and decor is a tad old school; it could use some updated/comfortable seating areas. Then again, most of us will go to a hole in wall to grab some good grub. The only major critique I have is that the service is extremely slow.
