From a reader: I was raped, now I hate sex. Now what? My answer: http://www.marydemuth.com/i-was-raped-now-i-hate-sex-now-what/
I received this email from someone struggling with sex after rape: When I was in my twenties, I was gang raped by 6 men. I started counseling but stopped. I felt that unless the counselor had ever been raped, how could she possibly understand what I was feeling or how to help me? I thought …

I'm not sure Jesus (the bestselling author!) would have built his platform the way we're told to. http://www.marydemuth.com/the-curious-platform-of-jesus/

Mary, that's an interesting and thought-provoking post. Thanks for sharing!

I have recently had some surreal experiences with Jesus. His presence has made me look at life differently. My eyes were opened to a new path as I was Divinely guided to write a novel about a man who focused on climbing the corporate ladder—seeking the higher "platform" you described. He was humbled by some unusual experiences with God that led him on a circuitous journey in faith. The "platform" he sought to further his career turned into something quite different. Sometimes it is wise to pay attention to the little things in life for they may be the most important "platforms" of all.

I love how Jesus dignified and empowered women.
"Jesus absolutely treated women differently than the prevailing religious authorities of his time," author Mary Demuth says.
