We can't let this ruling stand!  It's interesting that the saem companies that are turning over data to the #NSA   now want to control how information flows through the the internet and into your home.  Are we really willing to let the #Comcast   and #Verizon   of this country control what information we can and cannot have access to? The U.S. now has the ninth-fastest average Internet connection speed in the world, behind South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Latvia, the Czech Republic and Sweden. This was from a report 6th months ago from Akamai State of the Internet report.  And you try to tell me this is a free market/capitalist economy! #netneutrality
The impact of today's ruling on Internet users remains to be seen, but it won't be positive.

What else can be said.
A quite beautiful video shows that on the Enterprise the most famous of this year's VMA performances shocked Spock. Kirk, though, seemed intrigued. Read this article by Chris Matyszczyk on CNET News.

#SeparatedatBirth: Two works by Vittore Carpaccio
Would you guess that Carpaccio’s_Hunting on the Lagoon_ at the +Getty Museum and Two Venetian Women at the Correr Museum in Venice, were one painting earlier in their history?

The lily blossom at the bottom left of Hunting on the Lagoon is out of scale with the rest of the image. Examination indicated that the hunting scene served as the background for the Correr Museum's scene of two women sitting on a balcony overlooking the lagoon. This painting has an empty stem in a vase sitting on a balustrade that matches up with the blossom in the Getty's painting. The identical wood grain of the two panels confirmed that they were once a single panel. The two parts were probably sawed apart before the 19th century.

A Seeker, Teacher, Retreat Facilitator, Former Chef, and Neophyte
Introduction
I have worn many hats during the years; an exec. chef, former husband, blessed father, current teacher and retreat facilitator.  I continue to seek understanding of this wonderful and awe filled universe, both the material and the spiritual.  A curious mind, though perhaps a bit undisciplined.  A lover, passionate about the finer things, from wine to books to music to art to gadgets to....  I enjoy the world of the imagination touched by the sensual.  Bring on the experience.
