For generations, Barbie has been the symbol of an unattainable physical ideal and as a society we risk creating similar ills in social, professional and moral spheres if we condone applications like there. By all means, use NLP to make tons of money, just do it in a way that doesn't meddle with the most malleable of minds.

Mong Kok, Night, October 18

Barricades were rebuilt throughout the night, with dozens of youth working diligently to regain what they had last less than 24 hours prior. Over 5000 people came out tonight in what was the best attended night in Mong Kok so far.

Hectic displays in #MongKok  last night. For several hours, dozens of thugs came to the protest sites to beat up students and pull down the fixtures the protesters had put up. As news of the violence broke  on social media, people poured in from all over Hong Kong to support the movement. Several of the thugs were pinned down and surrounded by hundreds of citizens as they called for police to arrest them.

This is footage from Mong Kok MTR Exit C, where the passageways were jammed with citizens demanding justice. The crowd chants 'Arrest Him'  and 'Check his Papers'  in Cantonese.

Police demands that kid comes down from a traffic fixture. Kid does dozens of pull-ups instead.

Turn off the volume - but quite a good auto-generated collection of scenes from the scuffles which started the Nathan Road take-over #OccupyCentral   #OccupyHK   #occupymongkok   #UmbrellaMovement

Oct 4, night @ Mong Kok

Night filled with protesters on edge. The slightest disagreement is reason to escalate. When fights break out on Canton Road, the police deploys up to 250 officers. Pepper spray is used and both the police and the protesters set up a cordon on Argyle at the intersection with Reclamation Street. The police stands down to loud applause as the dawn breaks.

Spijshuys Versch is always on the itinerary on our visits to Amsterdam. The restaurant's revealing name is a Dutch word play on 'fresh' and Dutch authenticity. Versch's concept foregoes a menu in a favour of proprietor Rogier's freshly sourced produce. About 90% of what's served at Versch is grown and sourced on a daily basis in the immediate vicinity. The menu is refreshed every week, so all the more reason to pop in from time to time. Rogier is also a excellent host, as he'll happily chat to you about all the events and trends that are affecting our dear capital and country. So on your next visit to Amsterdam, please avoid the tourist traps and meet Rogier for what is surely one of the more genuine food experiences in Amsterdam.

One of the friendliest shopkeeper in Hong Kong. It's quite possible that he operates in the 6th dimension though, as his shop seems to have _everything_ in stock :)
