Here's IPR 409 with +Joseph Thornley and me talking about 'I want to know, I want to go, I want to buy' micro-moments and why video to go (i.e. mobile) is more important than ever.

Interested to hear what you think.

For many years, I clipped articles - some filled with information and ideas, some quirky. I still have folders filled with yellowing newsprint and magazine pages.

With social media came social sharing and the ability to save and organize. And I'm inviting you to join my Diigo group of curated posts about multimedia storytelling for PR and marketing.

Time for Inside PR 404.

This week +Gini Dietrich, +Joseph Thornley and I talk about the ever-changing media landscape including GigaOm and what Meerkat might do for citizen journalism.

Have a listen and let us know what you think.

(And no, that's not a real 404 page.)
On today's show we talk about a couple of things: the ever-evolving media landscape and a new app that could turn citizen journalists into live TV reporters. First – media: GigaOm, the tech analysis, publication announced it was shutting down. There's been much written about them and why it ...

I am glad to see the Toronto Star tear down their pay wall.  Side note, my wife and I have our Saturday morning ritual of having our newspaper delivered to our condo door (step).  We throw on some soft jazz or 70's, 80's,  a few cups of coffee, and read away.
I like +Joseph Thornley 's  barbell analogy as well as hockey stick  growth and venture capital reluctance to invest in slow steady growth ventures.
Meerkat is only available to IOS  for now, so us Androids are unable to  partake in those bedroom biking antics that  +Martin Waxman and +Gini Dietrich  speak of.
Very interesting ephemeral comparison between Snapchat and Meerkat, also very interesting that they both chose colour schemes of a white image on a yellow background.
Thanks!
