Weird to see comments here to the reactions to his speech but nothing about what he actually said.
...or how insincerely he said it.

Who's sat in the VIP section for a concert at Stubb's before? Did you like it? Is it worth $100 above the general admission price?

A somewhat counterpoint to recent articles.
Over the last several weeks, I have attended a few forums for Austin mayoral candidates: Sheryl Cole, Mike Martinez, and Steve Adler. Each of the candidates emphasized the importance of diversity a...

Yeah, I know that Sunday nights are for 'True Detective' and 'The Walking Dead'. Just be sure to save room for The Korey & Martin Show.

Ditch your old notions of waiting at the DMV being synonymous with Hell. With the new system you can log in your place in line from your phone. The automated system tells you how long you have to wait so you can show up 5 minutes before you're called. If the speed of the "line" changes you'll get a call asking if you need more time and let you decided how much extra time you need to get there. At this megacenter there are nearly 30 stations where you can be helped and every employee there is...SMILING. I was able to go in to get my DL licences renewed and out in 15 minutes.

On a slow evening (or at least one with only 6 customers) I went in to order food togo. I waited 50 minutes for my food to come out - which of course not unheard of in a fancy restaurant where you have a night of drinks and good conversation, but Tuk Tuk has nothing anyone would describe as "fancy". And a togo order is all about quickness. I didn't fret too much because maybe the food would be so good it'd be worth the wait. Nope. Fairly bland. I live down the street from Tuk Tuk but hadn't been since it had changed names and ownership. I guess I'll wait until changes again before I go back.

This newest Alamo Drafthouse is very much like the last newest Alamo Drafthouse that opened on Slaughter Ln....which is a good thing! The new decor feels more like it's for serious moviegoers and not just hipster film geeks. PLUS this one has an impressive Planet of the Apes theme.

As much as I hate all overly sugared, salted, heat-lamped foodcourt grub, this place stands out the ONE that's good enough to make a special trip to the mall to eat. It helps that it's all cooked fresh right in front of you. I highly suggest ordering the Chicken Teriyaki with extra vegetables (and extra meat if you're hungry enough). One caveat: It's the most popular eatery in Barton Creek Mall, next to Chick-fil-A, so the line can be ridiculously long on the weekends.

The girls working this place were extremely friendly, professional and made me want to make regular appointments. Unfortunately, the treatment didn't whiten my teeth one iota. :'(

Fantastic place to see standup comedians, easily the best in Austin. I've seen a long list of nationally known comedians (Greg Giraldo, JB Smoove, Patton Oswalt, D.L. Hughley, etc.) and paid no more than $36 for seats right next to the stage. The theater is small enough to feel intimate, but not cramped. In over a decade I have never seen a bad show there. CAUTION: Take the signs with parking instructions VERY seriously.
