My latest #comicbook review for +ComicAttack.net is for "Books of Magic" #1, the last of four titles in Neil Gaiman's "Sandman Universe." The story follows young Timothy Hunter, who learns that he must make a choice between the world of magic or the world of the mundane, and that if he chooses magic, he has the potential to be its greatest champion or its greatest doom.

Check out my review and let me know your thoughts on this book!

My latest #comics review was posted earlier today on +ComicAttack.net for the "Sandman Universe" title, "Lucifer" #1.

One of my favorite scenes in the original Sandman series from Neil Gaiman in the late 80's was when Lucifer decides he's tired of running Hell and shows up in the Dreaming and hands the "keys to the kingdom" over to Dream and says "Do want you want with it" and then just takes off. Dream is stuck having to take meetings with a variety of different pantheons (Egyptian, Japanese, etc.) as well as entities such as "Chaos" who want the kingdom of Hell for themselves because they no longer have a place of their own.

This new look at Lucifer has yet to show exactly how it's going to tie into the overall "Sandman Universe" that Vertigo is publishing currently, but the story so far is intriguing and the art is fantastic.
